Weltempfänger Backpacker Hostel

Staff were very friendly and helpful, I arrived earlier than check-in and they let me leave my bag at reception for free. Location was great - nice walk to the Cologne Cathedral with Roman ruins along the way. Lots of food options nearby (there's a great thai place nearby). Communal kitchen was nice as well, appreciated the fresh fruits for breakfast. Towels are provided for free ( just had to ask at the reception).

No plug socket near the beds, and the bed is only fitted with 1 USB-A cable. Had to use the plug across the room. Toilet and shower are in the same room so caused some waiting time, but not a huge issue.

The staff were very kind and helpful! The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, and free coffee and other things are available for free.

The room's furnishings and appearance are very poor, cluttered, and run-down.The accommodation is a bit far from the city center but close to the metro station, it is suitable only for a short stay.

Very nice stay at this hostel. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind.

Nothing.

That you had to be at the hostel before 24.00, when staying in dorm (sharing with other people). l think it was very respectful. Bed ok. Few pieces of free fruit

Rude staff! And only available few hours every day at the property so things dont go to plan, theres noone to help you but other guests. Very unprofessional solution. When l arrived, they misplaced my key and the help number to call was out of order and no staff on the property. l asked an other guest to let me in. it was a chance that someone came to the hostel same time as me. Next day they took away my towel and l had to dry myself with my clothes. Toilet paper was placed on the floor not on the shelf. Staff basically told me thing were my fault even though it was clearly their misdoings..
