We chose this hotel be wise it was listed as pet friendly and with parking. Upon arrival we are told there is no parking and instructed to use a public parking one block away. The rooms are clean but shabby and in need of an update, lacking any kind of amenities apart from a bed, tv and bathroom. The next morning we are greeted by a female member of staff telling us we cannot bring our dog to the breakfast room. We ask her for a solution and after a while she agrees to us having breakfast in the bar next to the reception desk. Feeling quite disappointed in the situation, we raised the matter with the lady behind the reception desk. The lady proceeded to tell us the hotel “allows pets” but is not pet friendly, she also added we were not staying in a pet friendly room- not sure why. All in all the staff seemed pretty u professional and lacking in basic hospitality. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Convenience, from the Central Station you take Train #5 two short stops and then hotel a 3 minute walk, and a great supermarket . Once in the hotel , very stylish. They give you bottles of water for the room,still or with bubbles. The one disappointment, which happens frequently, is that they have next door another property with a gym/spa and as seein in the photo of the entrance where the word HOTEL is, thats a doorway you don;t use but its likely a home for the homeless or just where they go and urinate. They are unable to do anything about this, and they don;t think to wash the area daily.

Unsafe. Was assaulted right outside of the hotel, right before walking into the hotel entrance. The the front desk clerk refused to help and said it wasn’t his problem, so police was called. I was injured with visible blood on me and staff receptionist just said I can go back into my hotel room to clean up and said they won’t be doing anything about the incident. I gave police my information and from my understanding a police report was filed. Furthermore, this hotel lacks basic security like anyone can walk inside the hotel, access the elevator, and get right up to the guest rooms. The area around the hotel is full of broken glass.

There are multiple stairs before you get to the lobby. If you have a lot of luggage it is very difficult to get your luggage up. The staff member at reception who was doing nothing saw me struggling and didn’t even offer to help. He was also quite rude. And even though two of us had checked in, there was only one towel for the two of us in the bathroom. Besides that the only available parking is across a very busy street and that is not listed when you’re looking the property up. The parking situation is terrible.

The hotel is in a great location for bars and restaurants. Brauhaus Paeffgen (a favourite) is minutes away. The Dom and Hbf are a 15-20 minute walk away. The hotel is clean, our room was spacious, though some of the decor is a little tired. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty. I would stay again.

This is not a 4-star hotel - maybe 3 om a good day. Hotel is old but kept in fair condition. The service was questionable, and the breakfast is at best 2 stars. You can do a lot better than this for the price!

It was a horrible experience. The picture what I booked and what I have been offered was completely different. The room for about 172€ (tourist tax) should not be that outdated and if you book a non-smoking room then the room should not smell that level. I could not sleep entire night. Smell was just terrible. I didnt pay to get horrible Cologne holiday. I hope Expedia will take serious actions. I believe Expedia cares for its customers.

4star is a stretch - 3star at best. Location was good (20min walk from central station) and service was friendly enough. Room and decor is very tired. Room had a balcony, but not clean enough to use. Room had no bottled water or tea/coffee making facilities as advertised. Air conditioning was not really effective and room was uncomfortably warm at night. Hotel bar was not in use and we did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on that. Well situated for downtown and Belgian quarter, plenty of food/drink options. Additional local tax was charged on checkout, despite being included on the Expedia invoice. Was a last minute booking, and fair value, but wouldn't stay again.

Reasonably priced hotel located about 15/20 minutes from the Dom. Very friendly and helpful guy on reception. Helped us book a Covid test and was generally very professional. Room was spacious, a little dated in decor but no problem there. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Lovely friendly hotel in central area. Very near metro but also walkable to city. Breakfast excellent value, staff friendly. Bar is quiet but with many bars nearby there is no need. Single comfort room looked brand new with Double bed and coffee machine. Perfect Stat

Staff were friendly & room was clean, everything worked and had no issues. The room itself was amazing, incredible high ceilings, a large bathroom + a balcony. We assumed we got a free upgrade to a suite, it was that nice - but looking at the floor plan, all the rooms seem similar
