Hotel Il Lato Azzurro - Isola di Sant'Erasmo - NO VEHICLES ACCESS

Such a wonderful place, filled with lovely people! We were traveling from Bergamo via bus, but there were multiple delays so we couldn't arrive on time for check-in. I called the hotel and the kind dude left us our key for when we arrive(and check-in properly after breakfast next day)! The room was with a much needed AC as those 3 days in early August were harsh, haha! The room was super sweet with its own bathroom and cleaned every day! With picturesque view to the back garden and mosquito net for a good night's sleep on fresh air. Do bring a good bug spray tho! Lots of still water on the island. Breakfast was a feast! Fresh choices to your liking. With super friendly ladies on the bar! A capuchinno in the early morning under the fans was divine! The pizza truck in the garden was our main choice for lunch and dinner(hotel has those options too) and the margherita and vignole pizzas were the bomb! Got me a bike for a tour of the island in the late afternoon. Highly recommend it! You can visit the local shop at vaporetto stop Chiesa, if you ever need anything at all. The island is well connected with vaporettos to all parts of the lagoon(even at night, tho on certain night vaporettos you might have to call beforehand(haven't tried it since we used the 12am one from Fondamente Nuove - check which one it is since there are two leaving at the same time). So the island is an excellent base for travel. lt has its own beach, tho a bit muddy at first and it's..a blast! Funky jellifishes alert! Do be careful when vaporettos 13 arrive at the same time. Ask which one goes where, haha! You can visit Lido with number 18(dock is near the hotel). We even got a ride to the vaporetto stop after check out, sweet! All in all, we had an amazing stay! The island is something you have to see for yourself. Staff were amazing! We felt welcomed from day one! As if you are not on an island in another country. Words can hardly cover how awesome we felt and still do! Thanks!

The property is situated on the island of Sant’Erasmo, a very peaceful and calm place away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. They also provide bicycles, which makes it very easy and enjoyable to explore the island and its beautiful surroundings. The reception staff were very nice and welcoming, especially Lorenzo. He was always available to answer any questions and gave us great recommendations on places to visit and things to do. His hospitality and helpfulness really made our stay special. Lorenzo is truly the best! Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing experience and would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

One thing to keep in mind is that you need to take a boat to reach the main tourist areas of Venice. The boat service runs approximately once every hour, so it’s important to plan your day around the boat schedule if you’re planning to visit Venice or other nearby places. Also, there is around a 10–12 minute walk from the boat stop to the apartment. It’s a pleasant walk, but something to consider, especially if you’re carrying luggage.

Our family had a lovely experience.The staff were extremely welcoming and we were dropped to our door from the Vaporetto. The free bikes were a great way to explore the Island and their wood fire pizza was gorgeous. This is something different and unique away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. A lovely experience.

A quiet place relative near Venice (30 min boat trip) surrounded by the green and wine yards. Own Pizzeria restaurant with terrace on the lagoon very near the Hotel.

It’s a little bit old standard. The place could need more maintenance.
