Hubby went straight from the port on disembarkation to the hotel. Staff were very accommodating even lending him a stick to mobilise. Location to the town & train station is excellent. Whilst the bathroom only had a shower with a curtain. The area allocated for the shower was large and the curtain went all the way to the floor. Breakfast was fabulous.

check-in time should accommodate the international traveler, as it was very tiring waiting 6 hours for your room to be ready. There was nowhere to relax and nap.

The rooms were beautiful and very spacious. The location was excellent with beautiful views. Loved the patio.

The customer service was great, with really helpful staff. The room was lovely, with considerate amenities. The breakfast was good with a lot of choices, and of course the hotel was set in a convenient location, very close to the train station. The hotel also provided car parking, and organised taxis to the port.

Don’t book this hotel. I won’t ever again.

The one staff member was extremely rude. I honestly thought Basil Faulty had been reincarnated in Italian form and we were on some kind of slap stick reality show. I was waiting for camera crews to pop out and tell us it was all a joke. Unfortunately he really was just that rude and awful. He was especially upset when we didn’t take him up on the offer of 115 euros cash for a transfer to the cruise port, when all of the cars and vans outside were offering the same for 40 euros.

The breakfast was delicious and plentiful at a good price. The location was perfect for our cruise and it was right across the street from the beach!

They were able to accommodate our request to hold luggage until we could leave for our cruise

Check in time was for 3pm and the rooms were not ready. We had no choice but to wait for over 30 mins. When I asked the front desk she said there was nothing she could do about it. I was pretty disappointed because if we had checked out late, we would have been penalized but there was nothing accountability on their part for providing us check in late.

Get an upgraded room for a special visit.

We booked the Azalea Suite which is their largest accommodation. It had a living room, bedroom and two bathrooms plus a walkout balcony overlooking the Main Street with the beach and sea behind it. It’s a great location and as it was once a palace and now converted into a hotel, it has a great deal of charm. The breakfast room was beautiful and the European breakfast offered was plentiful and very good. It was a great way to spend a few extra days before departing on a cruise.

Don’t stay at this hotel you will over pay compared to the others.

Should not have included the breakfast in the reservation. A waste of money. Much better to eat at one of the restaurants outside. Same cost or cheaper.

First of all we booked the best Junior Suite room 402 with a balcony and ocean view. A big mistake. The room was on two levels . Living room downstairs, bedroom up stairs using a very narrow rickety metal staircase that’s too narrow to carry a large suitcase up to the bedroom. Stayed two days . Nowhere to put your clothes. Only 4 hangers in wardrobe. Had to go up and done to get stuff. The bathroom was terrible. Small 2 by 2 shower with no hot water, terrible lighting , hairdryer too far from mirror, no room for two people to move around. Mirror over the sink was waist high other mirror was behind the door. Had to keep door closed to have any lighting. Our biggest problem is that we are going on two different cruises out of this city and booked this hotel twice. Once before the first cruise and then again in between the second cruise. The good news is that the next room is only one one floor.
