    I had a fantastic experience at Metropol Hostel Berlin. The location is unbeatable, literally steps away from the Mehringdamm U-Bahn station, making it so easy to explore the city. The facilities were top-notch, clean, and well-maintained. A huge plus was the free breakfast, which was a great way to start the day before heading out. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base in Berlin!

    I was in a solo room. Good space. Clean. The shower is really tiny though. The towels are like hand towels and not for full body. Breakfast is very simple. Not that bad but adding eggs would be better. The internet is really bad. It got disconnected a lot of times and the connection is very slow in the room and most of the time not working. If those are not issues for you, then this place is good. The location is great cause it’s right beside a train station and many bus stops nearby as well.

    I saw the other reviews were good but I was disappointed and didnt have a nice experience here. The place feels like an asylum more than a hostel and the other guests made the experience more uncomfortable. Although I cant blame the hostel for the guests I feel they could make some changes to improve everyone’s experience. I couldnt sleep at all even with earplugs, due to loud snoring and people slamming doors. To go to the bathroom its far from the room and when I walked in, the floor ws covered in trash like pieces of toilet paper. People also ate bad smelling foods, and sneezed and coughed very close to my face, I felt disgusted the whole time. Then I went out to the lobby and the employee told me “no sleeping here on the couch, and no you cant change your room either because its fully booked.” I felt trapped in this place with no sleep it really felt like a prison and I was about to leave in the middle of night to go to another place. Then I asked another employee and they said there is actually space and he let me change rooms. Unfortunately the other room had similar issues and I couldnt charge my phone because there are only a few electrical sockets for the whole room, so I had to spend more time in the hostel than I wanted to. This was the first hostel in Germany that also charged me €5 for the bed sheets at check in. It seemed strange as you would assume that is what you are paying for when you get a hostel bed. I really didnt feel safe or comfortable here and couldnt wait to leave. Lesson learned. Thank you to the night shift employee who tried to help me change beds in the middle of the night though
