Is a old hotel , facilities accordingly with the age of is , some improvements here&there , staff super polite and helpful, location is fabulous. Basically I got all what I paid for . Who's complaining and had high expectations should go to waldorf astoria next door , for the price you pay in centre of Berlin is a deal.

9.6 / 10Outstanding·Jul 2026

The hotel deceived us, I have to say. The pictures looks more promising than reality. It definitely deserves refurbishment. Rooms vere spaces, but shower and toilet combined was smaller than the Ryanair restroom. I'm not particularly big or tall (5'9, 90kg) but I struggled to turned off when showering. Also, the reception and the lift are of the first floor, from ground level you need to overcome set of very steep stairs, so if you have mobility problem or even heavy luggage, it may be very challanging. The rooms have no air-conditioning, with very hot weather outside it was very difficult to sleep at night, the street outside is very noisy and loud. The location in the city was very nice, near ZOO, with good shopping and eating options. The hotel breakfast was very limited, but not terrible, the service could be somehow better as not everything from menu was available all the time. The staff was generally ok, and been in Berlin a few times, I have seen better. I definitely don't see us to come back to this establishment, maybe some people will find it better than us.

Staff is friendly. Close to all public transport options. Building is run down (duc tape on the stairs and such). Room didn't have seats. Bathroom very very small. Sort of quiet given the location.
