The location of Pensión Joakina was PERFECT. Luis was so friendly and accommodating. We arrived on an early flight and he met us at the Pensión to store our luggage away so we could head out into the city. Our room was ready earlier than he had to and the space was really comfortable. The shared area was so nice to have to store some food in the fridge and to have anything you need if you are like us and felt the need to grab and pizza and chill out in the air conditioning. :) When we left, we had a later train, and Luis again was so helpful and stored our luggage so we could enjoy our last few hours unencumbered. I highly recommend Pensión Joakina and we would definitely stay there again!
The literal only thing that wasn't basically awesome was that it was hard to find space to have suitcases while you're there as the room was slightly too small for two suitcases to be laying out. Did that affect our stay at all? NOT AT ALL!!! I can handle pushing my suitcase into a corner! :)

Very close to the old town and beach. Although the parking in San Sebastián is expensive it is extremely convenient to the pension, under 5 minute walk. Added touches from the owners are an added bonus (beach towels and umbrellas).
No complaints. If I have to pick something I would say walls are a little thin, but not a big concern.
