Beautiful resort. Amazing rooms. Really comfortable beds and everything was spotless. Beautiful high end toiletries in bathrooms. Great pool with lots of sunbeds. Breakfast was great and food offering at lunch and dinner was very good. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Any little problems we had were sorted out immediately. Overall this is a very chilled place to spend some time.

Beautiful, idyllic outdoor pool – finally something different from the typical infinity pool! There’s plenty of shade available. The breakfast was great, with a good variety of options, and you can even enjoy it outside with a lovely sea view. We even received a free upgrade to a room with sea view – thank you!! The hotel grounds have a shuttle service, which is very convenient since depending on your room location, there are quite a few steps up and down – but with the shuttle, it’s absolutely no problem. In front of the hotel, Tuk Tuk drivers are waiting to take you into town. During our stay, the beach bar was closed, which was a pity, BUT within walking distance there’s not only a beautiful beach but also great bars and restaurants with sea views – perfect for sunset! There’s even a really cool reggae bar. Even though the hotel’s own beach isn’t the best (a bit rocky), you just walk a few meters further and you’ll reach a wide, beautiful sandy beach! What some other guests complained about (that there’s no restaurant nearby and you have to eat at the hotel) I really can’t understand, because within a 10–20 minute walk along the beach (depending how far you want to go) you’ll find fantastic alternatives! However, if you don’t want to leave the hotel at all, then yes – you’ll have to dine at the (rather expensive) hotel restaurant. The service and staff were absolutely wonderful – super motivated and extremely friendly. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Conclusion: For us, the most beautiful hotel on the island! Special mention: free airport transfer depending on booking type, and a lovely welcome on arrival (cold drink & refreshing towel).

Honestly, nothing! If I had to mention one thing, it would be the pool bar – great, but a bit pricey. Still, with how affordable the Thai food is overall, treating yourself to a cocktail there is absolutely worth it. ;)

The breakfast was very good the room was light and airry, The swimming pool was clean and well kept, The staff were very very helpfull and curtious.

Very beautiful property. Loved every bit of it. Food was amazing too. Max from the front office gave us a free upgrade and it made our stay even more wonderful. If you are looking for a leisure stay away from the crowd and noise, go for this.

The staffs in this hotel are simply amazing. All the staffs from front desk to restaurant (the waiters, waitress and even the chefs)), the spa Center, the housekeeper and even technicians/ engineers are simply amazing. They greeted us with a smile and they seemed happy working there. Special mention to the hotel manager, Mr Woody. The massage therapists, MOD and Lee are experienced massu. The massage is good and comfy. The breakfast are delicious. September is a low season hence, breakfast is mini buffet and there are main course meals to order. A big thumbs up for the chef. The restaurant staffs and the chef made an effort to remember our names and our food liking. After 2-3 days, they tried to customized the food taste and portion to our liking. We have most of our meals in the cliff restaurant (the only restaurant that was opened in low season). The food are really yummy. See photos. The gym is open 24 hrs. The hotel is a bit dated but is still well Maintained.

A suggestion for breakfast: - salad, fresh onions could be added for breakfast. - one or two items in the breakfast buffet could be changed on alternate days. (Breakfast quality is good. But having a slight change for one or two would helps for ppl who have a longer stay ) The beach is on the rocky side (not under the control Of the hotel). Not suitable for swimming. When the sea is calm, the water is quite clear

The Staff were faultless, always willing to help and the guys that drove us to our villa were happy and friendly. I loved their door less car buggy! Sunset view from sea pool villa jacuzzi was 10/10. Views of phi phi islands Scooter hire right outside the resort- handy to have. Restaurant breakfast was good. Open till 1030 which is good for a sleep in.

Rubbish at the abandoned run down beach. No privacy in the sea view pool villa. Can see neighbours in their pool and front room. They need to put up privacy curtains on the sides.

Secluded yet only a short tuk tuk ride from town.

Food quality was a bit hit and miss in the Clifftop restaurant in low season

Pools were stunning, nice cliff side resort with great views of the sea. lovely rooms and comfy beds.

if you stay near reception it is a long walk to main pool and restaurant, you can call for the buggy though. For 5* there were some improvements to be made eg the jacuzzi never worked, and restaurant food was OK but not special. This resort is quite far from other places and the taxis are VERY expensive eg to Old Town and back was 1200 TBH the most we’ve ever paid in Thailand.

The whole things is really let down. Matress was far too hard can’t have a single good night sleep.

We really loved this property…from the free van pickup at the airport through the entire stay. We had a sea view room and enjoyed the nice light into the rooms as well as the outside private patio. Great breakfast and just a short walk to Long Beach for swimming or just walking barefoot in the sand. We enjoyed the Majestic bar about 20 minutes walk up Long Beach…great fun with oldies playing, a beautiful sunset and happy hour drinks. Easy to get a Tuk Tuk right outside the resort to anywhere in Koh Lanta. We hope to return!!!

Room was comfortable, great ac, bathroom, shower, balcony were all good. The breakfast was great and a good choice. The swimming pools were good and one had a pool bar. No lifeguard.

Distance to the restaurant and beach was far but the hotel provided a buggy. The private beach was accessed by steps, it was small and rocky. The public beach was 100m walk, no facilities here like beach bar or sun beds provided by hotel. The food was not great in the evening, no entertainment.

-cleanliness: personnel seemed to be in general a bit lazy: -towels in gym not regularly replaced -after roomservice only collection of towels, no replacement -pool: empty glasses and meals were not collected -sun lounges were not clean and full of old leaves -appartments: after in room dining meal remains were not picked up and stayed in front of the doors -the beds smelled humid and were very hard -prizing: the prices in the hotel were incredibly higher than the standard on the rest of the island. i do recommend to go outside and try some nice restaurants, e.g. simple pad thai around 50% more expensive than outside -beach: absolutely unusable. there are 2 beaches: one in front and one connected to the public beach. both do not have any possibility to lay down, all pictures must have been made during low tide, since the sea goes easily back by 5,6 meters. very disappointing. Except for snorkeling at the small beach, u cannot use them at all. the greater beach connected to the public beach was additionally not very clean -due to the hilly sorrounding, especially older people could need necesserily the transport, which u always have to order. du to this fact and the size of the hotel, it can easily take up to 15mims, until u are collected -rooms were ok, door not closing properly, pool rooms with sea view are facing the pool, meaning in summer loud music and people in front

We loved the resort. Everything was just perfect. From staff to amenities, to breakfast and cleanliness. Don't doubt it. Just treat yourself and do it!

We absolutely loved the Avani Plus Koh Lanta. My grown up daughter and I travelled around the South of Thailand for 2 weeks and this was definitely one of our favourite hotels. The staff were all so lovely, kind, and hardworking and made our stay perfect. We upgraded our room to a swim up room, and we loved it. The room was so comfortable, clean we loved the pool access and it was really quiet. The reception were always so helpful and always helped us with transfers and taxis for sightseeing. We only stayed 2 nights, but we would love to come back and stay longer and see more of this beautiful island. Highlights of our trip were visiting a beach with chilled bars, sunset and fireshow. Not sure where it was but the hotel organised the taxi for us and it was wonderful. We also went horseriding with Pirates Bar horseriding, which was recommended to me and was stunning riding on the most beautiful private beach. The restaurant at the hotel was lovely and the food was really good and the breakfast was delicious. The coffee shop was our favourite and we were there every day. We had such a wonderful time at the Avani Plus and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you Avani Plus for making our stay perfect 💙

Relaxing stay in a great room overlooking the pool . Close to restaurant and path to beach. Took advantage of buggy to reception, used local tuk tuk to visit local restaurants in the evening. Easy access to public beach by path, also took a bike ride organised by hotel. Staff very helpful, beautiful hotel on a lovely chilled island

I got room next to the forest which is surrounding of nature sounds that very nice! Room is big and clean, I really love the pool and staff are friendly

The welcome fruits in my room low quality not fresh almost dry! I’m expected better quality of food service, coffee tastes of water , I had PadThai for breakfast the noodle is hard and the beans smell bad I couldn’t finish my meal, ect.

Only thing that could be improved is the gym. Just needs an update of equipment including a bigger range of weights/machines.

Fantastic getaway for couples. We stayed at a villa with seaview and felt in paradise. The bed was too soft but they replaced it immediately. Personnel is very attentive, 5 stars to their staff

Breakfast very simple and very disorganised - egg station takes forever, better to serve at the table otherwise your toast gets cold and you never eat together. When you arrive half an hour before the end of the breakfast everything is empty and the waiter make you aware that you only have half an hour left which is hot very relaxing… Bar at the pool, takes forever to be served. Staff is really lovely but the amount of staff there is the service could be so much better This is just me but no long mirror in the room. In general, you don’t feel special and for the money you pay you don’t get the value…

The hotel is beautifully located on a rock which provides great views on the sea and is a 10min tuktuk drive to the centre. The hotel is very well maintained, staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in diverse rooms. The villa option is a real heaven of luxury but the cheaper rooms are also very good. It is a hideaway place…one you don’t want to leave.

The breakfast could be better. It is not well run and every day the same. Often the buffet is not well stocked and service is rather chaotic. The restaurant and bar staff should be better trained for a 5star hotel. The choice of restaurant dishes is too limited.

we stayed at Avani for 4 nights, our room was uphill with an amazing sea view, close to the restaurant and the main pool. From the reception they have shuttle cars (2-3 min waiting time) to go up and down. Everything looks like new, very clean and the view is amazing. Very good service, main pool is beautiful, lot of nature and wild animals around.

Room with Pool and seaview and very big terrace. Very baby friendly, baby cod provided was super comfortable, slept like an Angel. Everything was awesome!
