Close to perfection

They really offer great food options during the whole day. The Spa/Wellness is great and offers enough options for a long stay in the hotel, certainly when the weather makes you stay indoors.

There is always room for improvement, but it was all really good. A minor point for improvement - if I would have to give one - would be that the noise of the closing doors in the spa relax area would have to be fixed so the noise is reduced to a minimum.

Spa facilities were exceptional.

Breakfast could have had more vegan/gluten free options. Also, just very strange behaviour from staff all around. It was very hit or miss. For example, at dinner in the Michelin star restaurant, they asked us if we would like an aperitif, we said no just the wine list. They then continued to serve everyone else and we had to ask for the wine list once more. Then we ordered our wine and they continues to serve everyone else again, brought us bread etc, but still no wine. We then had to ask for our wine again. I believe maybe they thought they shouldn't bring out our wine until the first course, but who wants to wait almost 30 minutes waiting for wine? They also brought my partner a different dessert instead of the cheese course they told him he could have and wouldn't budge convincing him he ordered a sorbet. Very strange and we didn't want to make a huge fuss. Same thing with the restaurant the second night (a different one), they took ages to bring us a wine card, then wouldn't bring our wine for ages. I don't eat butter and had to ask four times for olive oil with the bread. Strange again. Finally, I would expect the rooms to not be dusty, but the kind of headboards they had were covered in dust and behind every table it was extremely dusty. Also I would expect pillows that were not completely flat, basically just a pillow case at such a nice resort. I've seem people comment similar things about dust, pillows and the headboard, so it seems to be a running theme. Also found the staff a bit up tight and rude, especially checking out. It almost seemed like they took advantage of how nice we were and only paid attention to the extremely demanding guests who were rude to them. (we saw this happen a few times). Overall the complaints weren't crazy, but for the amount of money we paid both in the restaurants and for the stay itself, I really would have expected much more.

Very good infrastructure, clean and charming place. The card given for free transportation and funiculars is well appreciated. A special thank you to the personnel who took care of us.

- Great food and service - Stylish and cozy hotel with a large Spa - Hotel and Spa were not too crowded which is great for privacy - Spa facilities are modern and of high standards

- Indoor pool could be warmer since it’s well isolated and indoors. The outdoor pool has limited times times where it is open to save energy - which makes sense. However, I don’t see the logic behind keeping an indoor pool almost empty for 90% of its time due to the low temperature

Excellent all around

Wonderful hotel in a spectacular setting. Modern, clean , comfortable and very well equipped. The food is excellent, 3/4 board was well worth it with a stunning 4 course meal every evening. The pools and spa facilities are also fantastic, the outdoor infinity pool in particular - heated to a lovely temperature all year. The area has endless hiking routes, and the hotel was very accommodating to our 7 month old.

Television in the room didn't always work. Seems like there was a problem with the internet connection. Would freeze now and then. Spa area had only fruit. Would have been nice with some healthy, organic cookies and other snacks as well. Fruits in the middle of the day don't suit all people as they can create acidity.

Great hotel with spacious rooms and a beautiful spa area in a wonderful location. The hotel was very clean and the front desk and spa staff were wonderful. Excellent breakfast and dinner service and options. What a view from the heated pool.

Limited program for activities (i.e. guided hikes, ...) which were outsourced (additional charges and no shuttle/pick-up service). The bar was unattended at times throghout the day. This could be due to being between seasons but could have been noted/advertised during the booking process. No kettle provided in the room.

Great pool, spa, breakfast variety, fantastic dinner at Stube, bar, reception, people cleaning and making the rooms, service at the breakfast room thanks to them for making it a wonderful trip

the service person at Stube got us a bottle of wine that was much recent than what we ordered. he did not even inform us and proceeded to serve it. Luckily my husband observed it and asked him. the serviceman offered to change but I expected that for such a Stube things like this is part of the service. it was great though with Adam(the Portuguese person) excitedly serving and entertaining. the food at Stube was fabulous though.

Some incredibley kind staff, both in the restaurant and spa area. Amazing infinity pool and delicious food at all times of the day. Nice rooms and beautiful lobby lounge.

Arrival procedure was not worthy of a five star hotel (5 reception staff members standing behind desk, talking to other, nobody acknowledgedging the guests arrival), mediocre and weak cocktails (considering therea dedicated cocktail bar), pushy spa employees (only one of them).
