I enjoyed Skegness but not the accommodation

There was nothing to like in this particular property unfortunately. The property was not clean, you know like them black mould stain in the bathroom area which is irritating. There is no WiFi, the host wanted to move us into one of their hotel where there WiFi. The hotel room could not accommodate us. The middle rug in the lounge is so dirty that one could smell the dust. Well over all, I won't go back there.

I believe that the review in this apartment are paid review. Because the review are too good to be true when you get into the property.

Not very clean. Only a few sheets of toilet paper on arrival. Sent a message ref this- no response, had to call to get action. Questionable mark on the frame of bathroom door- feaces? Brought to attention of staff she apologised but didn’t clean it. Mould in shower, dirt and grime in corner of bathroom. Toilet badly stained.

Location

Booked a room for 2 men. A double bed and a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed, just a chair for 2. After many phone calls a man told us to share the bed. Finally begrudgingly moved rooms and my friend said he got no sleep because the sofa bed was rock hard.

Couples holiday

Everything within walking distance..Very clean and well equipped..Value for money.

A few problems...one probably can't be sorted but people need to know as the shower was going from cold to hot to boiling hot to where it could burn someone we had to stop using it i understand the water preasure but it was the temerature of the water .I stayed here years ago and never had this problem. The other two problems were minor and would have been sorted if we'd made someone aware.. But I would still book again.

Great location, but our room had a couple of issues.

This was our second stay here and the location is perfect, especially as we were here to attend an event at the Suncastle, which is just a very short walk away. This year the studio was smaller than the one we had last year, (although it cost more) which was fine, size wise, and it did have a microwave, kettle, with a tea & coffee etc tray, sink and small fridge, and we like the fact that it is easy to access, with the door code and lock box, however we did have a few small issues this time, which would potentially make me think twice about booking it next year.

The main thing was the fact that the 3 screws holding the door strip one the bathroom door were raised (and I mean quite visibly raised) and I nicked my foot on it! We laid a bath towel across the doorway for the duration of our stay, which meant that we couldn't close the bathroom door, but that was preferably to a cut foot! The sink in the bathroom wasn't very clean, nor was the toothbrush tumbler, I had to wash it before I could use it, and the glass shelf tilted forward slightly so things slid off it. The toilet was really stained and there was a constant horrible smell coming from it, like a drains smell, which wasn't great, given that we couldn't shut the door due to the towel! Having said that, our friends had 2 rooms on the same floor and I'm not aware that they had any such issues with their rooms, so I guess we were just unlucky this time! We were in room 12.

We was double booked, had no room available the manager said he wasn’t dealing with this, he called the owner which we had to wait half an hour. The room was smelly, the bed was very uncomfortable you sank into the base. The shower was clogged up the water wouldn’t go down the plug. We left on the Sunday as the room was uncomfortable. Waste of £269.

Convenient on the front but will not be going back and certainly not value for money

The staff on arrival were awful. 3floors up and no fire exit from the top apart from narrow stairs Other guest had to let us in. Staff were rude. We were told that 24 hour number is not to be called as he will not answer. Not friendly at all

No lift all thin stairs and a stair lift on the bottom set of stairs which meant it was a struggle getting up and down with cases , our room had hardly any plug sockets , and the ones we had were no where near the mirrors so getting ready was difficult , plus we had to put the kettle on the floor to boil it as no plug sockets let up high enough , ours friend had cooking facilities in their room we had a microwave which unless you was 7 foot tall you couldn’t plug in as the socket for that was on the ceiling . The toilet roll holder and towel holder was hanging off , the shower kept going hot and then freezing . The bed was ok not the most comfortable . The smell of weed was horrific , above us was a family and at 6.30 in the morning we got woken by what sounded like the kids jumping on and off the beds and screaming , however the location is good .

Skeg Vegas at Coasters Apartments

Stayed for 3 nights with my kids, was really pleased with the value for money that the apartments offered, spacious rooms, liked the breakfast bar area and comfy seats, and if you want to relax in the kitchen / dining area then the TV is on hand to have the music / programmes available which is always a bonus. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and informative which is always a good sign, decent size fridge which came in handy! Like that the toilet paper was decent enough as well (little things always count!) It's got a decent view of the sea as well from the room at the front, and is just across the road more or less which is perfect.

The bed i slept in felt like it had a few bugs in and caused 3 nights of itching, which was a shame cos it was comfy enough to lay on top of, just very uncomfortable to be under the sheets. The showers were not very powerful and occasionally would all of a sudden go really cold, but we think this might have been related to 2 showers being used at the same time. The cold spells only lasted a few seconds however but was a bit frustrating. Only other thing really is more of a recommendation and that is to have toasters available.

When we arrived at 9pm the room hadn’t been cleaned - we were moved to there sister hotel around the corner we were told was clean - it was filthy with sick on the wall and stained sheets and dirty towels- we were then woken at 03:30am due to a room party that lasted until 05:30am, this included the party/rave running around the hotel naked and outside, not ideal when you have a 10YO and 12yo with us. Needless to say we didn’t stay the two nights we had booked we left the day after with no refund offered.

The location and convenience to the beach, amenities and car parking were perfect. There's even a shop next door to the property. Excellent overall.

Lack of a basic toaster and lack of a fan were noticeable - especially when it has a small kitchen area. The fan would've been fantastic during the hot weather.

It was a ok place specially being in a great location. Place could do with a spruce up

The location was perfect for what we wanted, next to all the venues we went for. The apartment had everything we needed and we made do for the weekend.

The shower trickled and kept going hot/cold and the hot water tap never worked in the bathroom. Toilet wouldn’t flush all the time. All the doors were small and stairs were very narrow. The place was quite dusty specially the hand rails. Sofa was uncomfortable and very low, I couldn’t imagine it being any good being used for a sofa bed. We made do for the weekend but don’t think I could of stayed longer.

We had a lovely weekend at Coasters and we will definitely be back next year

We have stayed here for the past 3 years and have always been happy with our stay. We like to stay in the sea view rooms. We didn’t use our balcony this time as there were baby pidgeons nesting there. This wasn’t a problem as it was lovely watching them on a morning. ( we refrained from feeding them but we think our neighbour did )The beds are lovely and comfortable and we were provided with everything we needed for our stay. The apartments are ideally located within walking distance of all amenities.

The only thing we found was that we have always parked at the back of the property but this option has now been removed

The location of coasters was ok,fairly near to amusements and shops. The cleaning lady was lovely

The bedroom was ok but cramped. As we paid for a large studio flat, this isn’t what we got. The lounge 😤😳 had worn out everything, carpets, rugs and the sofa wasdreadful, when sitting on the sofa you were nearly on the floor it was so low and wasn’t big enough for two children to sit on. We came home a day early as we were uncomfortable sitting on dining chairs all the time. And the bathroom was a big joke A 2 year would have struggled to sit on the toilet. The size of the bathroom was unbelievably small. The stairs were quite a hike and not to be recommended

Fantastic Stay will be coming back

The location was perfect close to all ammunities, shop located next door. Both rooms where the perfect side loved having the kitchen separate, bed was very comfortable. Having a fridge was ideal along with the microwave and air fryer. It was prepped with cutlery, pans, plates ect along with glasses and cups. Everything you needed in the kitchen

There was nothing we did not like however our only constructive feedback is a full size iron board would be ideal as a little iron board was no good. We are aware this is everyone's preference but ideally darker curtains ( blackout ) as it was very bright of a morning and some people don't like this. . Again this is just preference and would not stop us coming back in anyway. absolutely brilliant stay.
