Cromwell Hotel

It was clean and met the basic need for sleep

No table and chair. Too small for the price.

This hotel has a great location and friendly reception staff. The room is comfortable,clean and light.

Having a microwave and fridge would be perfect

It is a great option for London, you are a short walk from an underground station and there are bus stops very close. There's plenty of places to eat also only a short walk away, as well as a Sainsbury's local. It was very clean and well presented. Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, I asked for extra pillows and they obliged no problem. I was in a small and compact room, it's very plain, but it had everything you needed if you planned on spending most of your time out in London and just crashing to sleep and shower. You can purchase water etc. from reception, they had great free wifi and there is a lift to get to the upper floors, and the room had aircon (though be warned it makes a vibrating noise the whole time it is on). I did learn that the street the hotel is on, Cromwell, taxis/cars are not able to stop on the street or they risk a £100 fine! So if you ever need to get a taxi, make sure you put the location as the side street.

No complaints as such, everything was excellent. Noted however there was no mini/bar fridge which meant I was unable to keep drinks or food cold, which is just a preference of mine. Also need to be aware that it is a converted house and built in the typical British style, which means the floors creak and you can hear everything your upstairs and next door neighbours are doing. I had only one night where this was an issue, when some guests were up talking and playing music past 11pm.

Excellent location. Close to a tube station. The staff was also friendly and the room was spacious.

The most uncomfortable sleep my partner and have ever experienced. The bed was rock solid; comparable to sleeping on the floor. Also, at the end of the each day the room appeared to have been cleaned only superficially, especially the bathroom.
