Fantastic location at the head of Stockbridge & everything you need is in walking distance of the hotel The Spa suite was great & having access to the garden from the room was a welcome bonus if you were lucky enough to get one of the two rooms with garden access over a longer stay in Edinburgh you're going to be very happy Staff were polite & friendly & nothing was too much to ask We did not eat or use the hotel bar because we had a dinner reservation in a favourite edinburgh spot & came over the water for a date night would come back for sure ! thanks

Would have preferred more than just the two complimentary bottles of water in the fridge & some additional coffee pods Although told just to ask for more we'd have preferred to be provided with more to start with that's my only complaint

Lovely one night stay.

Beautiful hotel. Room was huge. This hotel is just outside the city centre in the lovely area called Stockbridge but still withon walking distance of the city. Really nice staff. Bar/breakfast area is well decorated and clean and tody. Wifi superfast.

Sadly the restauarant wasn't open but the staff recommended a lovely Thai restaurant just round the corner.

Lovely hotel with welcoming staff and great atmosphere

Lovely place to stay, very good vibs, nice interior, friendly and welcoming staff. Beautiful view overlooking Stockbridge. Really enjoyed our room and the atmosphere. Coffee in the room was fresh and tasty. Would come again! Thank you.

The water pressure in the shower was quite low. Some fixtures and hangers in the bathroom need fixing or replacing.

Gorgeous unique boutique hotel with super attentive staff. Room was fabulous, beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent but it’s the staff that made it so enjoyable.

Lovely stay!

Location is excellent, quaint place with a lovely little pool, and absolutely silent away from the hustle and bustle. The morning breakfast staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food provided was lovely. Would definitely recommend!

We didn't get any information when we checked in, where breakfast was or what time, if we had towels for the pool, where to order a drink when you're at the pool etc. Had to keep asking the front desk, but they were friendly.

Incredible hotel, excellent location, wonderful staff.

Lovely stay. The hotel has an excellent location for wandering around Stockbridge or Edinburgh city centre and the staff are incredible. I booked the stay for my mother in law and mentioned it was her birthday and the staff couldn’t have been more thoughtful in planning her stay. They gave her a free upgrade, left a card, balloons and chocolates for her. She commented on how truly special they made her stay. Thank you so much for everything.

Nothing! I believe it clearly states in the description that some of the rooms may be inaccessible for people unable to climb stairs but my 75 year old MIL had no issues getting to her room at all. Just worth noting for anyone with disabilities.

nice small boutique hotel - standards had dropped since i last stayed there -disapointed

good location and well appointed - good size of bedroom and bathroom

Heating did not work in Bedroom which should have been picked up by managemnet and housekeeping - temporary heaters were not adequate - advised front desk on departure but no follow up from management

A very restful short stay in a lovely hotel.

Staff on reception were very welcoming and attentive. We had a Junior Suite which was a lovely room. Would definitely stay again. Hotel is a lovely Georgian residential building in the newtown in a quiet cobbled street location convenient to both Princes St and Stockbridge.

From the minute we walked in we were dealt with like family. Met Stefan on arrival and he made me s feel right at home. Our room was amazing and whenever we stay in Edinburgh again we will stay here and in that room. The bar area and eating area were comfortable and clean very chic. Freddy and Kyle made our stay even more perfect. The best two front of house guys I have ever met and we travel a lot over the world . Thanks again

Our rooms had a fantastic view, clean and equipped bathrooms. The staff was extremely accommodating and the location fantastic!

It was not an issue for me personally; however, please note that there is no elevator and, to my knowledge, no accessible means for individuals with mobility challenges to reach the upper floors. Additionally, I would suggest adding more hooks in the bathroom to improve convenience for towel hanging, as there were only two available in my unit. Lastly, I kindly suggest cleaning or replacing the windows (crystals), as they are not in optimal condition; the glass appears dirty / scratched.

Stylish hotel in a great location

Really lovely room with great views, the hotel is in a fantastic location, the staff are friendly and welcoming and kindly helped us with our bags after spotting us two doors down.

The bath was quite a lot smaller than I expected.

Great location, clean tidy room with nice decoration and high ceilings and all amenities. Located on a quiet street so no outside noise. Good breakfast. Overall wonderful.

The building is nice but old, therefore the sounds from the hall can be heard at all hours, occasionally being a bit inconvenient. Also the bathroom was really tiny but we did book the smallest room so fair enough.

Fabulous stay.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived before our rooms were ready and our luggage was already in our room upon our return.

Unfortunately our room was extremely warm througjuht the night which affected pir child's sleep as well as our own. The building is old and beautiful but ensuring the rooms have fans would be great regardless of the time of year. Our room was also at the top of the building with steep stairs and no lift. We were fins with this but we didn't find the need to go back downstairs once we were up!

Ideal short get a way

Really nice old building in a great location. It was a nice walk into Stockbridge high street, a little longer into Edinburgh centre. We had breakfast included an it was superb. Excellent selection and very tasty.

Just loved it

Anna and Kyle went out of their way to help me and change rooms which was looking out to a wonderful garden. Room was really roomy and interiors were excellent. Lovely spa products.. Highly recommend and would stay again.. loved also location..

Comfortable and great location

Gorgeous old terrace building in a quiet neighbourhood. Staff were very helpful, the young man who fixed our blind, reservations and hotel manager and Scottish bloke we spoke with about the restaurant service tax in Edinburgh of note. Cleaning staff were super fit hopping up all those stairs and kept our room tip top during the week. Easy walk to town or just down the street to plenty of little shops and eateries. Overall great stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We were ok with the stairs but it could be difficult for someone elderly to stay at the top, but that’s part of the hotel. When we arrived it looked like the room had been empty for a while, it felt a bit dusty but cleaning staff kept on top of it rest of our stay so my initial unease was just that. Blind was fixed after a night without being able to close it but the towel warmer was broken throughout our stay, an update as to why would have been appreciated.
