    Sprawling, yet contained, gem of a hotel. Great, helpful staff. Could do with upgrades on room essentials, such as taps and window latches, switches and USB ports.

    The hotel has the features that a business traveller could require including a helipad. It has a free car park. Just off the M25 J24 and close to Cockfosters tube. The hotel is set in a tranquil country location. The food, drink and staff are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

    My family and I stayed at to celebrate my wedding, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few drawbacks. The hotel’s exterior is stunning, with beautiful architecture that immediately catches the eye. The surrounding park is equally impressive—lush, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing walks, which added a serene touch to our special occasion. The breakfast was a highlight, offering a good variety of fresh and tasty options that suited everyone in our group. However, the rooms were a bit disappointing. They felt small and outdated, which detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the air conditioning struggled to keep up during the summer heat, making the rooms less comfortable than expected. Despite these issues, the hotel’s charm and the peaceful park made our stay enjoyable. It’s a great choice for those who value aesthetics and a calming environment, but some updates to the rooms and better climate control would elevate the experience significantly.

    Overall, I had a good stay at West Lodge Park. The location is not superconvenient, being it 35/40 minutes away from the city centre. But in comparison to other hotels closer to the city, bedrooms are generally much more spacious. Further, the hotel is surrounded by a nice arboretum and green area, which makes it a perfect solution for travellers looking for a bit of relax. A few disadvantages: at the check-in, they usually ask for a large deposit (50% of the value of the room) even if there is no mini-bar in the bedrooms; the hotel does not have AC, which may make it difficult to sleep when it is particularly hot.
