The hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to our group which included one friend's dog who was even given her own Scottish breakfast. It is very pet-friendly and relaxed with a cosy bar area and beautiful restaurant overlooking the grounds.
The property is full of character. I booked one of the feature suites at a very reasonable rate which was large and comfortable with a view of the lake. The bed was particularly comfy and it was perfect for my 2-night stay.
We ate in the bar and restaurant several times and the food was mainly very good.
I don't really have any complaints about my stay, the only thing that could make it even better would be to have a small fridge in the room.

Nice location , friendly reception staff
The room / suite was not good at all as shown in pictures. Very disappointed after seeing the exterior ! I upgraded and paid extra .. but would definitely not go back ! Dirty rooms/ dated and damaged furniture / stains on bedding/ sofa / cushions . Windows full of dirt / stains down the walls / on carpet.
