A droning noise all night

The location is excellent, on a very quiet street in the old town, but with shops and cafes nearby and only a few minutes' walk from the main bus station at Plaza de Armes. It's handy for the city centre too, and Santa Justa rail station is also an easy walk away, pretty much due north. It's an attractive traditional-style building with the rooms built above and around a central area which would once have been a courtyard or patio. It's nicely furnished and comfortable. The staff/owners are pleasant and welcoming.

There was nobody to let me in when I arrived at 1730 in the afternoon on my first day. I had been instructed by text message to input a key code at the door so I could get in. Unfortunately, the keypad was set rather high - above my head - and that, together with the fact I have a slight visual impairment, made it very difficult for me to see the numbers on the pad. I managed it eventually, but I'm mentioning it now because anyone with a more severe degree of visual impairment would really struggle. However, for the rest of my stay, reception was open 24/7 so obviously I was just unlucky, and it's not something which would happen often.

The location is great, 10-15 minutes from the centre of Seville, the Catedral and the bus station with its very large underground car park. Staff are great and the 24hr reception means you can arrive late after a day’s sightseeing with no concern about getting in. Local coffee shops and bars are just around the corner. Dogs stay free of charge. Shower pressure is good.

The bedroom we were given, room 102, was barely larger than the bed. As we were staying a few days this would have been very uncomfortable so we were able to change rooms after one night. My wife and I suffered itchy eyes and runny noses the short time we were in 102 and we checked under the bed when we moved rooms and it was really quite dusty. It really is quite expensive for what it is, but I expect that’s staying in Seville for you. More of a hostel than a hotel.
