Stay was pleasant. I would recommend the hotel.

Room had a strong smell from detergents used but had a great view. Top pool was great however the pool bar was overpriced and closed early. The location was very central. Walking distance to everwhere.

The hotel lacked a vibe and no evening bar. The entertainment facility and restaurant needs improvement.

Amazing rooftop pool, wouldn’t return to ao nang.

Right in the centre of ao nang, yet just off the street so hardly hear any noise from the bars Rooftop pool is incredible with amazing views. Plenty sunbeds available all day, with a swim up bar. Spacious rooms with really good air con. Staff are lovely

Rooms were a bit dated, ours was 314, and was one of the standard rooms, however think the price you pay to stay here the rooms should be a lot better. Our shower drain was blocked causing the shower to flood, however was fixed. The noise of insects outside of our room at 6.30 every morning was deafening, they did this every morning we stayed. We liked the hotel, but in general wouldn’t return to ao nang. It seems to be overly touristy and no authenticity at all, only reason we liked this stay was due to our hotel, however didn’t like ao nang

A very average stay

Stayed here for 3 nights for what we paid for this hotel and considering that in Thailand you get more for what you pay, we were disappointed with our stay. We were based by the smaller pool- the room was clean but old fashioned and basic. The main door is a French door. The screw for the lock was so hanging out and the safe didn’t work- I went to report this and the staff were helpful & sent the maintenance guy out quickly. It still didn’t feel right that the main door to your room is so flimsy. The main pool at the top is lovely and has a stunning view. Sunbeds are not like the pics for both pools. The toilets by the reception & by the pool are pretty poor/smelly. The staff were lovely but just felt they were overran- there was no explanation to tell us anything about things/ opening times of anything in the hotel when we checked in. The location is a 5/5 and that’s the bonus for this hotel. Unless you’re paying for one of the top rooms (where you get your own bath) I’d check other options.

The pool and the cart drivers

No water pressure, dirty showers, charge for everything. Would not make up a room before 3pm, large external light on all night impacting sleep

I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Very tranquil - away from the throng of Ao Nang.

Be careful at the top pool if it’s windy. I got hit in the face by a hard wood umbrella and spent a week with bruises and cuts on my face. Unfortunately, no one from the hotel checked up on me. No one’s fault, just a freak accident. Everything else was perfect.

Good location, basic but clean rooms.

Great location. Nice pools. Friendly staff.

No iron in the room or at the hotel. Had to wait for our next hotel to iron our clothes. Rooms felt a little sparse and didn’t really feel like a resort. Breakfast was also not included but was an added extra, which also felt a bit odd. The photos of the property are generally of the nicer top part, not the smaller bungalows at the bottom. The hills are huge and require a golf buggy to get to the top. No music by the pool so felt eerily quiet.

Highlight of the trip

Had an amazing time here - the views are incredible, very comfortable, great location, lovely staff. There are golf buggies to take you to your room - the staff who drive them are so lovely. Thank you, we will be back!

Room did not include these items and had to ask staff for them. Clothes drying rack, bowls knives and forks, extra pillows. No bedside lamps. Not a major downfall but would have expected these items due to high standard of rest of property.

Quite, relaxing hotel at a great price

Lovely big resort, but quite quiet. A long way up to the main pool but view is stunning! Staff were lovely and helpful. Bedrooms spacious and comfy. Cleaned every day. Set back from the main road, which I loved.

Unfortunately the bungalows were by the jet washing area, so heard that quite frequently. And a couple of times staff mistakenly came to the door/ getting the wrong room. Can hear people above moving furniture. High deposit for room at 2000B. Pool table wasn’t available.

Beautiful hotel but needs more security.

The hotel was beautiful, very clean and modern with a classic twist, the location was absolutely spot on! Right opposite a 7/11 and in the heart of Ao Nang, plenty of restaurants and bars and things to do well within walking distance. The pool was spectacular, food and drink was lovely from the the pool bar too. Breakfast wasnt the best but it may of been because we went quite late rather than early in the morning.

Our experience was ruined on our last night. Cutting a long story short… Midnight, me and my partner were cat called by a drunk man outside of the hotel at the bottom of the driveway entrance, told the staff not to let him in. Got the golf buggy to our room, 10 minutes later the drunk man turns up at our door. Called the reception and a member of staff came to our room instantly. By this point this man was forcing himself into our room and bearing in mind me and my partner are both fairly small and we are 18 and 19. The member of staff managed to get the man away and after a while we both went to reception to speak to a someone else. She told us that the drunk guy told the buggy driver he was our friends and that the buggy driver told him our room number. Obviously this member of staff who was driving the buggy shouldn’t, under any circumstances, tell anyone from outside the hotel other guests room numbers. We asked for a room change as we were uncomfortable knowing he could come back and we had to stay in the same room. Apart from this, everything else here was amazing!

Great location, lovely staff and clean

Great Location. Staff friendly and accommodating. Our room had been renovated recently and it was spacious and well kempt.

Breakfast for 400THB is quite expensive. The value spent for the hotel is great but if it was more expensive I would be disappointed in some areas like the pool (is clean but underwhelming/uninviting) and quality of the pool towels etc.

Perfect location and beautiful infinity pool

The hotel is in a perfection location. Close to everything but just tucked away so it’s nice and quiet. The infinity pool has the most amazing view and is a perfect spot for sunbathing. The staff are all super lovely and ready to help with anything. Would definitely stay here again

Fantastic Five star view and the room was a delight, especially the day bed on the large balcony. Ordered room service a few times while watching the sun set and was very tasty and so cheap. Close to beach and main street but very quiet

Beautiful tranquil location, rooms could be improved.

Location was perfect. Close to all the action, within walking distance. Also far enough up the hill for a quiet night's sleep or relaxation by the infinity pool. Gorgeous views of the bay and mountains. Tranquil environment. Good breakfast and nice staff.

After reading the amazing reviews, I had high hopes for a comfortable stay. I stayed in a room at the top of the hill with views of the infinity pool and the bay. Unfortunately, my room had a strong smell of damp or mould. I asked to be moved and the staff accommodated this. They explained due to the low season, the rooms had been closed for a while, hence the smell. The room I was moved to was better but still had a smell, which made me feel uncomfortable. I accepted it as most rooms were the same, when I walked past once with doors open. When I arrived home, all my clothes smelled of damp/mould. It's a shame. Perhaps they need to keep the rooms ventilated during the low season. The first room was unliveable.

It was a beautiful property, fantastic views from the top pool and pool bar brilliant! Rooms were large and spacious and good size balcony. Great location

Coffee was pretty awful so if you need coffee in the morning I wouldn’t bother with breakfast. Breakfast was varied and average. Rooms weren’t cleaned very thoroughly especially toilets and the pool towels were just dish cloths!?So easy to make this an excellent hotel… Geat value for money. Thank you

Very comforatble and great location.

What I enjoy most about Tipa Resort is its hillside setting and the overall villa-style design, it makes the stay feel peaceful and scenic.

The only downside was that the resort seems to lack proper management and English-speaking staff. It really needs more organisation and attention to details

We aren’t happy about that the bedding sheets and duvet cover a lot of cover with a lot of stain and Mark and I have to ask reception to change the bedding. A very heavy sewage smell in the toilet very off putting

Thouroughly enjoyable 3 days at Tipa Resort

Everything was above our expectations. The rooms were clean, the breakfast and dinner were excellent. The whole grounds of the resort were spotless. Staff were unbelievably friendly. The location of this resort is seriously central to all ammenities. Beach 5 mins, main streets 5 mins.The staff car drivers were most helpfiul and accomodating. If we decide to come to Krabi again in the future, I would have no hesitation in booking this resort again. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who is considering holidaying in Krabi

Great Location & Nice Resort

The room was a great size and had a nice balcony for a great price. The pools were nice and had good drinks as well. We enjoyed the concierge services and found they offered great prices for good tours. We also enjoyed the breakfast each morning, they had a mix of cuisines with a lot of options to choose from including an egg/omelet station. Best location for being near the action of the main strip along Ao Nang making for a lot of dining options nearby (we would walk 2 minutes to the beach each night to watch the fire shows and then go to dinner on the strip after).

The laundry was a little expensive.

Average stay, needs urgent renovation

Location and the nice pool view.

My stay was just okay. The breakfast was very weak, and the room was quite old. The AC was noisy and didn’t cool properly. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and too hard. The balcony was unpleasant—water dripped from the roof, making it unusable. This hotel urgently needs a remodel.
