Amsterdam Centre Harbour Apartments

Staff was really nice with having the place clean and ready with the sofa bed pulled out and set up for use right away.

The water in the shower got onto the rest of the floor in the bathroom but the extra towels helped keep the area dry.

The door to the balcony was disabled. It would have been nice to enjoy the sun.

Fabulous location! 10 mins from Amsterdam Centraal station. Great shower. There was a lift which was good as the stairs spiralled! Online check in and access to the code for the property was simple.

The layout of the flat we were in. The toilet was just inside the front door and the bathroom (which didn’t have a toilet) was off the bedroom. This meant the person who was using the sofa bed in this apartment for 4 people, didn’t have open access to the shower! There was no window in the bathroom either. There was a bath in the room as well as a walk in shower but a silverfish was in there! The lights throughout the flat weren’t bright enough. The only mirror was in the hall just inside the front door - luckily there were a lot of plug sockets so we could use the hair dryer near the mirror. The light in the toilet was the brightest but no mirror for putting on make up etc. The apartment had big picture windows, which looked out on the canal, but the windows need a good clean! The sofa bed had been set up and looked complicated so we left it up throughout our stay but it blocked the sitting area. The light fitting over the table was too low. It was easy to hit your head when you stood up. I appreciate you’ve got a number of apartments in the building but just putting a selection of photos which don’t match up to what I was expecting left me underwhelmed! I couldn’t decide if the decor was shabby chic or tired and needing a good clean. We also had a problem with the safe which took nearly 3 hours of what’s app and phone calls before it was resolved.
