location , parking, comfort , cleanliness of room and friendliness of staff.

bar run out of preferred wine, no free nibbles, cold and noisy bar, Restaurant didn't have many items and was closed on Sat night with no warning given. Also not possible to charge drinks or meal to the room.

Room size, location, tea and coffee making in room. Nice Warm room(winter) fan in cupboard if needed. Free car parking

Window locked in open position and no key available so would have been noisy as over carpark and main road. This didn’t happen until following morning so no problem. Bathroom plumbing dated and untidy.

Both telephone and night staff who checked us in were friendly , welcoming and helpful. Free and easy parking , close to the entrance .

We stayed one night post an event , it served its purpose and was comfortable, it is a little tired , eg. carpets and bath silicone .

Lovely port in a storm!

Small, welcoming, lovely staff. Bed so comfortable and curtains to die for. One thing, I wish the window had been closed. Very cold room on arrival and no extra blanket to put on top is summer quilt. Had to sleep in my clothes for a few hours.

Our room smelt damp/musty, it was a double but only one large towel was provided (and it wasn’t that big to start with) and it had barely any facilities ie toiletries etc

Hotel tired but a good stay

Situated just outside Reading but on a direct bus route. Staff were friendly and helpful. Upgraded to a standard double from a single as they were quiet.

Despite the accessibility description on its website the hotel does NOT have any wheelchair accessible rooms. There are steps to all rooms. (No lift). The reception, bar and restaurant are accessible though. I was told at reception they did not have any wheelchair accessible bedrooms.

Location is very good for with a large car park. Rooms were cleaned daily, hotel was quiet and very warm (during winter). Good water pressure.

Desk / hotel, staff were excellent, but after a long flight I didn't appreciate the attitude from the barman on the first night when he started pouring a cider which he described as a pale lager.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location, plenty of parking and a good breakfast. We had a really good nights sleep. Ideal location for us as we were visiting family 5 minutes away from the hotel.

Was okay for a night but wouldn’t want to stay a whole week

The parking spaces are great. Enough space and it’s free. WiFi was also very fast. Very quiet also. Couldn’t hear any other rooms. TV in the bedroom is very large which is great.

The towels are very small for a shower towel ? Don’t understand why they can’t be bigger. The shower heads aren’t centred to the tub so you’re kinda leaning to one side when taking a shower.

Great for a short stay

The hotel contacted me before the stay to say that they would be upgrading me free of charge. Can’t complain at that. It was really good location wise, close to local amenities, close to the location that I was going to be at for the rest of the week and very light and airy. The staff were excellent, very easy to communicate with, especially after a long drive.

Only gripe that I had was that there was no lift, not that I could see anyway. I could be wrong about that. Wasn’t too fussed though.. Stairs were easy enough to get the suitcase up, just a pain to have to drag it up.

Superior double. Room smells of food. I realised the smell was coming from the chest of drawers when I searched for the hairdryer. The draws had been used for storing food for the refugee families that were housed there over a year ago and no furniture had been changed even tho it’s stained with old food. Rooms have not been decorated and carpets haven’t been changed so it’s very grubby.

The hotel rooms are very dated and in need of an upgrade. The bathroom was very dirty around all fixtures. Towels are the size of tea towels. Old tissues down the side of the beds. Lighting was dim in the rooms. Reception smelt of weed and some how it traveled into our bathrooms. Walls are thin and you can hear the people in the next room. Rooms were hot. Doors slam VERY loudly

I liked the fact it was near to the M4 and to my friends place who I was meeting up with and the price was very good . The staff were very friendly which makes a big difference too. Would certainly stay again.
