    A lovely hotel, such great history but a little tired. The staff were great and friendly the communal areas were well looked after but the bedrooms and hallways were needing some love. The outside of the hotel needs a lock of paint. If you like older buildings you will like it.

    The Lookout Rye is by far my favourite hotel and I’m so glad to have booked it on my trip! The cozy room was rather spacious and I was in love with the simplicity and the kind staff members. I made the most of my stay taking the Stagecoach busses to Camber, Hastings (as well as Battle) and Winchelsea. The breakfast served was filling too and the coffee was perfect!

    We loved it here. Beautiful place, really well decorated. Friendly pleasant attentive staff. Lovely breakfast. Good rooms with lots of nice little touches. Good location. Would prefer they didn't charge extra to park as a guest, but that's the only downside to this lovely place
