The hotel is full of character and has beautiful original features. Great location a short walk to the bars, restaurants, shops and seafront of Swanage. The large private car park is a real bonus. Our room (in the main hotel building) was lovely and quiet with a comfortable bed and good facilities. The hotel bar offers a good selection of reasonably priced drinks. We have stayed at Purbeck House on several occasions over the years and will definitely return.
Nothing really to complain about, though we were slightly disappointed that the cooked breakfast wasn't available on this visit as this has been a highlight of previous stays at this hotel. A slightly more powerful shower would be nice.

"The architecture is stunning. The location is outstanding as it's just farther enough away from the louder parts of the town but is a 2 minute walk from trendy cafes and restaurants and the sea front...."
