Arthouse Glasgow - Newly Refurbished

The hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the location was excellent. Fantastic old building in a great condition. The receptionist also provided some wonderful historic facts!

The breakfast was quite limited for £17.50 each.

The hotel had a lovely atmosphere, the room was very comfortable. The staff were friendly.

2 chairs in the room would be ideal, especially on a longer stay.

Although the interior is beautifully designed, especially the staircase, some design details were not very well thought through and therefore inconvenient e.g. bathroom light switch was not near the bathroom, the TV was against a wall that didn’t face anywhere to sit and watch it. It felt a bit like style over substance. There was also lots of noise outside our room in the mornings with doors being swung open and work being done just outside. I’d also expect to have fresh water in the room each day. The breakfast felt overpriced although the restaurant was lovely for dinner. Perhaps as the hotel is new some of these elements are still being worked out but I was a little disappointed by the quality of some aspects given the price.
