Lots of character great location for where we needed to be. Staff very friendly. Food was tasty.

The place looks amazing and I could imagine it being fabulous it just needs a bit more love and attention. The bedroom was quite small and the bathroom was tiny (it was tricky to get in comfortably with the position of the door and I’m glad I’d lost some weight recently!) we were upstairs in the dorma bedroom-it was very warm, there was no obvious air conditioning. I opened the window which could have done with a little bit of attention and a wipe. The mattress was a bit lumpy too.

It’s a lovely building in a beautiful setting. Our room was spacious and clean with a good view. Food was amazing!

We were called and warned there was a prom on the night we stayed. However that was no issue at all - you couldn’t hear them. But there was a wedding the next day and the wedding party and guests made a lot of noise from 6am! They acted as if they were the only guests staying. The hotel was lovely but they should remind guests that unless they book the whole venue to respect that not everyone is happy to be woken so early.

Location is perfect, just 20 minutes out of the city centre. Staff are very friendly, and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast delicious!

Location was very good, the place looked great

A Sunday roast lunch menu only is available all day Sunday. This is not mentioned on their site. We definitely would not have stayed had we known prior to turning up. Also, the towel rail did not work in one of the rooms (worked fine in the other) and this made the bathroom quite chilly. The whole place is in need of some upkeep (the print around the windows was severely flaking). This is a real shame as it could be a beautiful place.
