nice bed, i could cope for the night and wifi worked very well luckily i had my laptop with me.

bed was very comfy , nice pillows

no one in reception, tv no signal didnt work, stain on carpet, desk and furntiture in room damaged or dirty or old. hand soap oin bathroom, i pressed to get soap it was blocked with toilet paper which once it came out all soap ran out. the walls, carpet in hallways was dirty, old, badly decorated.

My stay at the hotel was disappointing from start to finish.

There is no staff at reception either on phone. There was a plastering and painting work going on i had to ask painter to stop to pass. Dust was everywhere. Bed was towels were not clean there was a oil marks or something else and there was hair probably from previous guests on the bed. Bathroom was new but there was no bath tap and shower pressure was very low. a basic shower took ages. My first day the room i was given somebody else was staying but it was not registered in their system second room bed was dirty and Hotels main night light was coming strait into room. I could not sleep i had to complain after searching and finding the staff. I booked a car park but there is a restaurant under the hotel and their customer uses the car park i could not park my car securely until 10:30 pm again there was no staff to help. I was not happy with the service and booking.com because you should check the basic services for the hotels in your web page. I am not going to use same hotel anymore or any of our staff and i will consider to use booking.com again.

An illuminating experience. Not quite bad enough to walk out to find somewhere else

The only positive about this hotel was the young lady on reception who could not have been more helpful

Access was via a so-called fire door at the back as the reception areas were under total refurbishment, the floors covered in removed plaster. The single room I had was extremely small and the shower space was so tight that the doors had to be opened to pick up dropped soap. The rooms were not serviced and extra tea, coffee and milk had to be requested. Also the power failed during the first night so chargers could not be used

I paid for a superior double and ended up with a bedroom with a single bed and a cot with holes in, also the double bed I had had stains all over it and cobwebs everywhere. Stay away

It is absolutely disgusting, i didn't even stay, it is a building site absolutely filthy. Cigarette burns in the bedroom carpets, wallpaper peeling off on every joint

It is absolutely disgusting, I didn't even stay... They refused to give me my money back saying that the bedroom was functional and that is all I paid for. It is a building site absolutely filthy. I've stayed in hotels all over the country and this hotel is the worst one I have ever been in..... I found another place to stay in town and called booking.com to put in a complaint and sent them photos to prove everything I had said was the truth, and left it in their hands to get my money back.... No amenities within walking distance...... My advice would be to give it a wide berth.

You get what you pay for! Check-in was OK, but it is unusual to have to sign a disclaimer on booking in! The room was small, the bed was comfortable enough although the springing was bad and one 'bottomed out' hard when sitting down on the bed. Cleanliness was OK.

The shower didn't drain very well and I cut short my shower before it overflowed onto the floor; the shower door didn't close properly because the top rail isn't correctly fitted. There seems to be no facilities at all in the hotel other than a coffee vending machine at reception. The TV turned itself on at 5am and woke me up. There was no-one on reception at check-out to report any problems to. Again, you get what you pay for.

Hotel was nothing like the pictures advertised was run down dirty and unkept beds had not been changed found pubic hair in the sheets shower had no attachment to wall and was filthy complained and was offerd a different room witch turned out to be worse than the first then when complained about the other room that was pre booked my mother was offerd a new room witch turned out to be the room I had just been moved from

Very disappointing

The location

The place looks very run down and could do with a bit of TLC. The first room we were given was unbearably hot with no windows that could opened. We were then offered another room that was just as hot but had 2 windows that opened and an electric fan, which had see better days. We accepted that but were then offered a room at the back that was cooler but my wife and the receptionist got stuck in the room and couldn't open the door. The receptionist called her colleague who came and got them out eventually (note: there was no phone in the rooms). We went with the second option rather than getting stuck. The bed was very soft, a bit like sleeping on a trampoline and the bathroom had a hand held shower that didn't hang on the broken wall fixings and, guess what, there was no hot water. Thankfully we were only there for one night. The receptionist were very kind though.

Ruined my family reunion

Run down when asked anything we were told manager had to be asked.no means of contacting any staff overnight. Only one drink in room. I asked for water to take meds.manager had to be asked,none arrived.so hot and run down and no breakfast available we were told to go in New Portuguese restaurant and ask. Very unpleasant atmosphere in the hotel as if something was being hidden

The Hotel is outdated, smelly and dirty. The room was basic. The bathroom was leaking, the carpet damp, the door (still using a key0 could not open easily because of the carpet. The bed not comfortable. There is damp in the walls. no cleaning services. No restaurent. Reception only partially available. You had to ring a bell and wait for 10 minutes. this was awful for an £80 per night. Disgraceful.

Waiting 15 minutes in reception until someone turned up. It was dark and dingy. The photos on Booking.com do not in any way reflect what the hotel is actually like. The bar wasn't open, and the restaurant wasn't open. There was a domestic dispute in reception, with a woman screaming and swearing. The corridor to my room stank of stale cigarettes. My room was basic. I think the furniture was reclaimed from a skip and the toilet didn't flush

Well! the wallpaper was hanging off, toilet seat broken and not actually attached to the toilet, dead wasps in the bath, cupboard door was broken off and just stood leaning up against cupboard, punch holes in walls and doors, and the worst without stealing one liners from Goldilocks was someone had slept in the bed, and the sheets hadn’t been changed, I could smell the perfume on the pillow and sheets. The whole place smelled like bob Marley had held a conference that very afternoon, you could get high by standing in the corridor for half hour. If it was a £25-30 a night I’d get it, but £55!! for £5 more you can stay in the Brooklyn which is simply stunning.
