Definitely didn’t feel like I was staying at a four star hotel. More like a budget hotel.

Good location, close to the Wedding venue for a family wedding.

As i was the only guest in the room, i was not only given a queen size bed but also a made up double size sofa bed; this left very little space available to manoeuvre. I was the bridesmaid for my cousin’s wedding and i needed the extra space to get ready and for all my luggage. The room was very cold considering it was February. There is no lift for the first floor, luckily the staff helped me. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Definitely not worth four stars, more like a budget hotel.

The location was ideal as we were attending a family wedding.

We arrived at this hotel on a cold , wet & windy Friday evening in February to attend a family wedding, We were given a room on the first floor. There was no lift, the corridor and stairs had no heating. Our room was icy cold with windows open. The only heating available was the hot air from the air conditioning unit. My husband and i shivered all night despite wearing jumpers and socks; We are old age pensioners! It was obvious that this room had not been used for a while. The hot air was not sufficient enough to keep this room warm. The next morning we had to go out and buy a small blanket for the next couple of days! This is supposed to be a four star hotel but felt like we were staying in a two star hotel. Very disappointed. Not worth the amount of money that we had paid for this hotel. On a positive note, the staff members were all very friendly and nice.

Great stay again

I've stayed here a few times now and as a woman travelling alone, I love staying at the holiday inn, I feel safe and comfortable, if any problems arise the are sorted swiftly and professionally

This time there was a large bag of smelly rubbish outside my room door when I arrived, not a pretty site but was moved once I reported it to reception. The ashtray outside was overflowing with cigarette butts looked awful, other than that all was great

In the morning one staff member by the reception desk was so unfriendly. She was not welcoming. All the rest of staff were so friendly helpful and polite.

Disappointing for price of ‘half board’

Breakfast very good

We booked and paid for half board (3 courses) but due to Xmas parties we were informed on arrival (not contacted before) that we could not eat in restaurant. Offered pizza, turkey dinner or sandwich sat in small area and not restaurant. Poor really.

We had to ask 4 times to have the bed made for our children. We were not given any bedding and multiple times the correct bedding was not brought to our room ie people tiring up with 1 pillow, no duvet cover etc

Budget hotel so don't be surprised given the 'Holiday Inn' branding

Was fairly reasonably priced. Location worked for us.

Rooms were noisy and not particularly clean. Doors slammed and you could here people coming and going all night and then early in the morning. Staff on arrival were inexperienced and one specifically too busy to help the queue. Breakfast was shockingly poor. What was left was cold and then the young manager and chef had a disagreement about what time it should be served til.

The staff both on reception, & in the bar, restaurant & also cleaning staff, were all approachable & extremely helpful.

Lovely property, clean with friendly staff

The whole place is clean, a warm welcome and all of the team are so friendly and helpful. One member of the team called Hayden was really lovely! He was chatty and put us at ease, making sure our service went as smoothly as possible. The food is amazing! A lot of care goes into the meals and it is reasonably priced for the quality. Breakfast was also great.

A decent hotel with good staff but.........

Food was good, Helen in the restaurant was friendly and lovely to chat with. She served us promptly and advised us as to the content of some of the dishes on the menu. Very professional. Our room was spacious and well equipped.

Although the room (221) was clean and tidy, the table really does need replacing. It looks as though nail varnish or similar has been spilt all over it and left to dry causing the surface to be unsightly with pink markings all over it. The room itself, in my opinion, should not be used by paying guests. Right outside the windows there is a large air conditioning power room that switches on and off all night at around 15 minute intervals. Every time it comes on all that can be heard is a loud droning noise that prevents any decent sleep even with the windows fully closed. It is also accompanied by what sounds like water running through pipes, possibly all part of the AC system. We probably got no more than a couple of hours sleep because of these noises.

Beds were comfortable, large tv, good quality essentials in bathroom. Comfortable soft pillows. Bar area was nice, liked the addition of the pool table.

Bit noisy in restaurant as there was a sports team stopping and this put us off the restaurant but we ate in the bar area instead. Food was very good.

A convenient stay

Friendly staff. Comfortable room with good bathroom. Excellent quality breakfast with lots of choice.

Restaurant options at the hotel are not as described. There is just the hotel restaurant and bar on site. Would have preferred two single beds for our 11 and 15 year olds, rather than sharing a small pull out bed. They didn't sleep well unfortunately, although our bed was extremely comfortable.

Unfortunately we experienced an unpleasant stay at this hotel

Big car park with ample parking, good size room.

As soon as we checked in, we noticed the tv in our room was on and upon trying to turn it off it would not turn off. Could not change channels. Maintenance came and fixed it. We had to wait around 45 mins for it to be resolved which delayed our booking at a nearby restaurant. Upon our return, the tv would turn on by itself and we could not turn it off again. Reception said they have no spare rooms, so Suggested turning the tv off via the mains so we could get some sleep. Unfortunately that was not possible due to the noise from an event at the hotel which kept my family up until midnight followed by noise from guests from the even talking loudly whilst going to there rooms.
