Pleasant staff, helpful and stressed to ask if we had any issues. Lovely meal that was excellent value for money.

Tired room, mattress had the roll towards the middle. The room could have done with a really good clean although superficially looked OK. The room was very cold and although the radiator was on a portable heater was also needed.

Room smelt of damp walls extremely thin, could hear people in the nearest rooms making noise all night and dog barking every time we moved , floor very uneven my husband fell over as he's unsteady on his feet

Very friendly staff, comfortable bed and plenty of parking. The breakfast was very tasty too, a buffet breakfast with a good selection.

The food was ok.

We stayed for 1 night on Wednesday 16th August. We regularly travel around the country, staying in hotels, pubs with rooms etc., and can safely say that this was the worst room we have ever stayed in. The room was really drab, dark with a cool, damp feel and was not clen. The furnishings were old and dirty, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom floor was dirty, there was lots of mould in the bathroom, the chair at the dressing table was also dirty and mouldy, the shower would only provide cold water, and the wash hand basin sink blocked and was very slow to drain after filling it with water. This was totally different to the reviews that we read on booking.com at the time of making the booking. Photographs are attached. When we arrived around 5:30pm, after a 4 hour journey, we sat outside in the sunshine having a drink and a meal and went to bed around 9pm, as we had an early start in the morning. We obviously were not aware of the condition of the room and facilities until we retired for the night so were unable to discuss it at the time. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that it is part of the contract that the hotel provides its services with reasonable care and skill. If they do not carry out their part of the deal you are entitled to receive compensation or money off for their failure. On this occasion the contract was for the Belle Vue Hotel to provide/deliver a clean room with an ensuite shower, that delivers hot water. We do not expect to be allocated a dirty, mouldy room with a cold shower. As the hotel declined to provide a refund, we will be pursuing this via the appropriate channels.

Excellent check-in, Messaged ahead and asked if we could check in early which was no problem at all, the room had everything that we needed and for the price i would challenge anyone to find better. Staff were really attentive, from the Girls on the bar to then chap doing breakfast. one of the most welcoming places We have stayed

Breakfast was Superb, Everything you could ask for and more. Staff were so attentive and friendly. I have seen a couple of negative reviews on here but do not let that put you off, room was comfortable with everything i needed. I even booked a second night whilst i was there

it was in an area easy to find , close to the venue we were going to for the day , a lovely meal & a snack breakfast for us to take on our next day trip

Found it was expensive as the rooms needed attention, mould on wall in bedroom near window , we were cold in the night bathroom was awful, mould on walls and blind , very cold , Kettle was all brown inside,

The staff were accomadating and very helpfull. Food was home cooked traditional, lovely enjoyed. Breakfast was so filling and a good choice. They also catered for our puppy as well. Will be returning some time in the future. Plesant local pub

Friendly B&B with a great atmosphere, open fire, fantastic food and the room was perfect for our needs, definitely value for money.

Comfortable rooms in an excellent location for exploring the area. The rooms are located away from the bar area and we did not hear any noise at all. The bar itself serves food and we opted to have an evening meal which was delicious, well presented and excellent value for money. The rooms are comfortable and and equipped with flat screen TV, kettle and Wi-Fi. We had a comfortable nights stay and the next morning the breakfast was a great start to the day. All in all, we found this accommodation to be excellent value for money with great, friendly service and we highly recommend it.

The beds were very comfortable and warm which is all we needed and the breakfast in the morning was very good ++. The hotel also has a pub attached which serves very good meals and drinks at very good prices.
