The Worse Two Nights Hotel Stay

There was no blanket of any sort on the bed, only a bed sheet. When asked for the blanket, I was told it's in the closet, which was an old, worn-out, thick, heavy fleece blanket, and fringes on the edges were missing or worn off (literally a trashy blanket). The room is extremely small, and there is no stepping room on one side of the bed. The bathroom is small, and the door is hard to open and close. The toilet is so close to the sink that the face could almost hit the sink when sitting and getting up from the toilet. Unpleasant smell in the room and throughout the hotel. Uncomfortable bed. Breakfast is not good. One night, the alarm sounded, but no service or announcement of any sort, nor was there an apology made for the malfunction that set off the alarm. For $224 per night, a total cost of $438 for two nights, I'd expect much more...

A nice apartment close to train station

The room was nice with AC (it worked okey, kept the room at about 23 degrees). The breakfast was good, with sandwiches, boiled eggs and and cakes. They had a barista that did coffee and tea to order. The hotel had a few private parking spots and was very close to the train station. From there we could easily take a train to St Lucia station in Venice. We only stayed two night and were in Venice mostly, so we cannot say much for the area in Mestre. Very good location for visiting Venice.

It would have been nice to reserve a parking space to be sure we had one when we arrived. We got one so it was fine, but just in case.

Staff were great - nice hotel close to the train station- breakfast was decent - room was a little smaller than we expected but the bed was comfortable - it was a good deal and a good spot to crash proximo to Venice and airport

Great location across the road from Venezia Mestre train station. Remember to ask the hotel to email you proof that you have paid your tourist tax so you don’t get stuck in queues when crossing over into Venice itself.

The location is very nice, in front of the train station that leads direct to venice st lucia. the staff were all very nice, the receptionist gave us very good trips to go direct to the airport.

It was convenient, very good breakfast, friendly employees

Location , across from train station & local bus . The airport bus was down the street , less than a 10min walk. The breakfast was very good , the emps extremely friendly.

With a room over looking the street & train station, it can get noisy from the car & bus traffic. Our room was an older one, the bed was comfortable but even with the windows closed, it sounded at times as if the windows were open. Must chk for bugs , not bed bugs, in bed because we did have some bug bites after our stay that appeared the night after we had left the property.

Other than location and staff would not stay again

The location was across the street from the train station and a block to the bus station. Restaurants and coffee shops close by. Staff were very friendly and helpful

WiFi only works in the lobby not your rooms. No heat until end of October and no air conditioning. No coffee maker in room as indicated on Bookings. Bathroom had to step into shower to get around door to get to toilet. Only one light in room and only one plug in

Didn’t eat breakfast there however the guys at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating to whatever we needed. They are very kind and made our stay memorable.

Perfect for daytrips to Venice

The situation of the hotel close to the station was exactly as we had wanted. The people at the hotel were helpful and nice.

The room had one big glass wall. Problem was, though, that the view was a very small totally empty courtyard with white walls (belonging only to this room). So actually there was no view at all. If the small courtyard were equiped with a small table, two chairs, a sun shade and maybe some plants, it would have made a big difference.

One night stop-over in Mestre - hotel good. location not good.

The staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful (and spoke several languages); the room was large and clean and at a nice temperature. Breakfast was available and plenty of coffee and bread/cheese/meats and jams were offered.

The outside of the hotel is not like the interior (which is basic, but clean) and location was a bit rough and ready - the bar next door is best avoided - some "customers" were quite dodgy. The room terrace was a walled area with one stool and a bunch of fag ends (cleanliness marks above for interior of hotel).

Super close to train station. The guys at reception were helpful.

The bed was a sheet with another piece of thin fabric on top - no duvet. I needed to find a blanket from the cupboard. The walls were super thin and I could hear everything from the girls in the room next door who decided to have a party till 1am 🙄 that combined with the weird bedding situation I didn't sleep well at all. Also the pillow was super thick and left me with a sore neck. Shower was leaking badly too.

I just wanted something simple, affordable, and conveniently located to Venice Mestre station and the ATVO station for the airport bus. Hotel Trieste met those expectations. Nothing fancy, but helpful staff and everything needed in a basic room. Only issue was wifi quality inconsistency in the room, but it was fine in the common area.
