Beautiful location at Lake Garda

Nice and friendly staff both at the front desk and the restaurant. The room and facilities are fine though nothing out of the ordinary. We took advantage of the special parking arrangement this hotel has as a result of the ZTL restrictions on automobiles, and it was a quite different experience being chauffeured from the nearby garage to the hotel in an electric golf cart, but we thoroughly enjoyed the little ride, a lazy way to have a bit of a look around before check-in. After a great dinner on the edge of the lake at the hotel restaurant we lounged for a while in the sofa outside the hotel bar, just enjoying life in one of Italy’s most iconic places. The next morning after the lovely breakfast buffet we went for a stroll before continuing north.

I think the high price is probably due to the attractive location otherwise we really don’t have any complaints.

Very beautiful hotel in an amazing location.

We were upgraded to a full lake view suite. The room was gorgeous and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. Everything connected to our hotel stay was perfect.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel and was truly satisfied with everything. From the comfort and cleanliness of the room to the quality of the service and the delicious breakfast – everything exceeded my expectations. I also appreciated the discount offered for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, which was a great bonus and made the experience even more enjoyable. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for their professionalism and kindness, and a special thanks to Francesco, who was exceptionally kind and helpful.?His warm and friendly attitude really made a difference. I highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return!

Location was perfect with easy access to lake, shops, restaurants and ferry. The room was a good size except for the loft style ceiling.

The room was loft style so had very low ceilings on the sides, totally unsuitable for taller people. The only proper windows were skylights, except for a couple of tiny peak holes that required sitting low on the floor to look out. The shower was very slippery and strangely had a small window that looked on to the neighbouring window - with no blind. We had to hang a towel over the window before showering. Pillows were like bags of cement. Worse pillows I have ever had at a hotel.

Perfect holiday hotel with lake views

Perfect holiday hotel. Right on the Lake lots of tables by the water. Good restaurant. Mario, the head waiter is great. Lovely staff. Fresh and clean rooms with lake views.Private parking in underground carpark - Jésus takes you to the carpark in a golf buggy to and from the hotel.

We loved Hotel Del Porto and we would definitely stay here again- so these comments are meant to be constructive criticism! We stayed in an attic room. Beautiful wooden beams but also a very low iron girder that we had to avoid hitting our heads on! No blinds on Velux windows - you are woken up at dawn by the light. Modern bathroom but we had to run the hot taps for 10 minutes before any hot water came through. Glass shower door opens and bangs onto loo. shower tray VERY slippery!

Nice waterfront hotel to stay.

Julia, the receptionist, acted very professionally and proactively solving the problems that we presented. We requested to change the room as the first one was not adequate for us and she was diligent in finding an alternative. Excellent breakfast! In our opinion, the servings were too generous... really... also too caloric! Anyway, everything seemed to have been done fresh and the waitresses were very kind, diligent and respectful, providing good advice regarding the menu and adapting to our special requirements. The service was fast. Room service was also fast and the cleaning was done perfectly.

It is a 4-star hotel and it is expected to meet some comfort standards. The initial room that was given to us was located in an attic on a second floor without a lift, better suited for hosting kids (not too tall tough). Nevertheless, the room was neat and clean, modern and in good condition (the minibar was malfunctioning, but the receptionist proposed its replacement). The second room, although more adequate for us was lacking a chair to use at the desk (we didn't ask for it during our stay) and only have an old-tired single-seat sofa. Regarding the breakfast, personally, we would like to have coffee more readily available (note that every time we asked for a replenishment it was served diligently, with no complaints). It is just a matter of personal taste.
