Come enjoy your stay at our condo located on the beautiful white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. The complex is centrally located in Orange Beach and is close to shopping and dining. This is a 1 bedroom 2 full bath townhouse style layout with new updates including granite countertops and stainless appliances. Unit sleeps 4 with a King bed in the master bedroom upstairs and a pullout sleeper sofa downstairs. The complex is very family friendly and has 4 pools, tennis courts, elevators, and a sugar shack (seasonal) that serves food and drinks. There are beach chair rentals available as well. This unit has free WiFi. ($30 covered parking in the complex). Small west facing balcony

The pictures of the condo are not accurate. I rented this unit as a beachfront property and believed it to be due to the pictures in the ad. The actual view from the balcony is a parking deck. While I would not have rented the unit because it did not offer the view I was looking for, it was clean and nice.

The beach was great, chair rental on the beach was a plus, snack shack on site with slushy drinks so nice to relax on my vacation. Overall I was pleased with my room and stay.

The sugar beach resort is perfect for a low budget family vacation. If you’re going to be spending most of your time at the pool or at the beach, this place is perfect! There’s not much around though so you definitely need a car for food or if you want to leave the resort. The condo itself is very dated and has a lot of wear and tear. Most of the drawers and cabinets are broken in some way and many of the dishes are chipped. Whatever you do, don’t look at the fans or the bottoms of your feet after walking around the unit barefoot. But if you’re planning on just using the room for sleeping and aren’t worried too much the state of the unit, this place is ideal.

We came in town for a concert and wanted a place close to the venue the Vrbo app said the condo was 2.3 miles from the concert venue but it was actually 13 miles away so we payed much more for our ride service than we wanted to.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The heated pool was appreciated since it was October. The building is old, but the room was sufficient for a 3 night stay. No hair dryer and the washer and dryer is small. The morning before we checked out, the fire alarm went off twice. The fireman said it looked like a faulty alarm system.

Overall, this property was fine. We love Sugar Beach and have stayed there several times. There are lots of little things that need to be fixed (ceiling fan in living area, lights in downstairs bathroom, loose faucet in downstairs bathroom and lighting-it's quite dark). And the unit could use updating. But the upstairs is roomy and the whole unit was clean. It suited our needs to extend our trip by a couple of days when our condo wasn't available. The bedroom is upstairs, so I would suggest when renters are coming in, to lower the a/c temp so the bedroom is cool. The a/c was on 75 when we arrive so the upstairs was soo hot. But the owner is quick to communicate and again, the unit was clean and suited our needs just fine.

First, the place was clean when we walked in. So, that was good. The owner email AFTER vrbo confirmation revealed $35 parking fee and active construction site off the balcony. There is no beach view from unit as shown in vrbo photos. Early morning machinery with workers looking into condo. Ceiling fan in den is off balance and clacking when on. Poor lighting upstairs and in kitchen. Clock above bathroom sink needs batteries. Coffee maker requires round filters. The provided cone shape do not work. No salt and pepper or other minimal provisions. Things do not seem finished. Dent in bathroom wall, perhaps from missing door stopper as evidenced by hole in baseboard. Found Dishwasher was very unclean on the inside when we went to leave. Sand and surf and sun was fantastic.

Where do I start…. Well it was the nastiest condo I’ve ever rented and I’ve rented a lot. I had to sweep the floors due to all the trash everywhere before I could putt out bags down. And there wasn’t a dust pan anywhere in sight. The fridge was nasty so I had to clean it out. The dishwasher doesn’t work. Tried setting in the very small balcony but the railing was too loose so my kids could even enjoy what little view we had. Construction workers were loud as hell and we was awake early early in the mornings. Elevator had no vents so it was not an option to even use it. Hall ways weren’t air conditioned so they were hot and smelled so bad I almost vomiting more than once. The amount of dust in the condo sent my son into an asthma attack. The mattress on the pull out couch isn’t even an inch thick so I had to go buy a blow up mattress just so my kids could rest without metal in their backs. The water pressure isn’t enough to shower with and the drains don’t work properly. Had to stand in ankle deep water to shower. Nasty. The shower curtain didn’t work properly. Had others hair all in the floor and on the shower walls. I tried many times to contact the property owner via Vrbo but it told me they were unavailable. I have screenshots. Getting my money back would be a huge plus for the owner but we all know they are just looking to make a quick buck. I will never again waist my hard earned money on a dump like this condo. Ever! Not happy at all.

The properties pictures are misleading. Your view is of a parking deck and construction. Get ready to walk. There's only one working elevator. You have a long treck through a dingy enclosed concrete hall to get to your room. They give you no bedding for the pull out couch. My mom slept with a sheet. I tried to cancel my reservation with over two weeks notice because of family matters and I was informed I would only receive a 50% refund. Needless to say we made arrangements so the money didn't go to waste. It wasn't terrible, but I found it over priced for what you get. I won't stay here again.

Condo was nice, no lids for pans so had to make do. Bed was good, shower and water pressure was good. Everything you need. Construction next door was no fun but that isn’t owners fault. Nice location not too many stairs. So we took stairs every time to get in our exercise. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

I really enjoyed Sugar Beach’s 4 pools and close proximity to the beach. There was a nice snack bar, observation deck, and grilling area. All really clean. Our 2 story condo was a little small downstairs, but the upstairs bedroom was very nice and roomy. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of pillows and linens. Two suggestions that will make the stay better: bring 2 fans to muffle the sound of the construction next door (started at 7:30 am) and bring your own bath towels as the ones provided were too small for a large man and teen boys! Overall, I am happy with our stay, especially for the reasonable price.

Most of it was exactly the way it was in the pictures but the water wasn’t as pictured nice and blue ! Little disappointed in that part . There was a few things inside the condo that needs fixing such as shower curtain rod and the stairs handle and the door . But overall we had a good time .

Most of everything is as pictured. However there were a couple of things that weren’t what was expected. Parking was said to be $30 however the guy at the gate charged me $35. No big deal BUT I am a planner and I’m lucky to have had an extra $5 in cash as they were only accepting one form of payment. It does look a bit sketchy outside. Not obviously a popular location. The pools were nice and walk to the beach was perfect. Secondly, I’d recommend changing the shower curtain liners between stays. The one that was in the upstairs bathroom had obviously been there for quite some time and was disgusting. Also, I’m not certain that the comforters for the sofa bed were every cleaned as they were just tossed in the closet downstairs. The patio door did not lock so myself and all of my children slept in one bed the entire stay. The construction company next door did not care about the dedicated quiet time as they started working around 440am every day. However I will say that other than this the condo was very clean, and well kept. And the one time that I contacted the owners I received an immediate response.

The kitchen was well stocked and the condo was clean and the beach was good. The maintenance man came quickly for bulb changes. The parking area needs maintenance. The construction noise next door started at 7AM Monday thru Saturday and lasted till 5PM. The balcony view is a parking garage of the new building and is always in shadow.

Enjoyed our stay. Property was right on the beach but had several pools also. One was heated. Construction of. a high rise next door was a little annoying but we didn’t spend a lot of time in condo. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

The overall property was nice and the heated pool was a bonus for our October stay. The kids enjoyed the pool after tons of jellyfish were spotted Wednesday and Thursday. The jellyfish do not have an effect on my review. The unit itself was ok. We paid a great price since we did a last minute trip and literally booked the day before. We utilized the pullout couch and there was tons of dust under and behind it. There was tons of dust on top of the refrigerator too. The silverware drawer pulled out loosely and could have easily fallen on someone’s foot. The internet was fast but went out for a full day. I contacted the owners and they gave me the number for technical support. The construction in the pictures is a little out of date as it is a high rise now and completely blocks any sort of view and now hardly any light can enter the unit. The sliding door to the balcony does not lock and I’m pretty sure the railing outside is made out of PVC. The property info says construction cannot start until 8:30am but they start making noise at 7 as workers show up. The real loud noise starts between 7:30 and 7:45. It’s not too much of a bother for us as we’re early risers anyways and spent the entire day at the beach. The construction is loud and the unit does little to dampen the noise. The unit is conveniently located where it’s a 5-10 minute drive to anything good and/or fun. This unit is ok for a cheap last minute getaway but I wouldn’t stay here again.
