Disappointing

Complete hotel and facilities, is dated, rundown and should not be represented by this brand and 5 star classification. The beach is a creeck, either no natural views, your view is highways. In the afternoon all sunbeds are kept “in use” as all guest keep there towels on the beds, there is no hotel staff controlling / coordinating this

Great stay for a couple

We did enjoy staying in this hotel. I would especially underpin top-notch service, polite and welcoming staff, stylish design, and scrumptious food. We bought breakfasts and dinners, and they were amazing. For their price, I’m safe to say it’s the best offer we could get. They offer fantastic general menu for dinner with fresh veggies, fruits, 3+ kinds of meet, fish, seafood, lots of dressings and side dishes, traditional pickles, desserts and pastry, I also saw fondues and a tall profiteroles cake. Everything I tried was delish. Sometimes they also offer some special meals (e.g. Wednesday is Sushi Day). I would also note that for those who prefer healthy nutrition, this hotel has a lot to offer as I never struggled to find something to meet my nutrition goals and standards. The location of the hotel is also pretty good, close to all the sights and to Saadiyat which is absolutely must-visit area with its futuristic museums, coastline, and pretty neighborhood. Bottom line, I have nothing to complain about this place. We also booked a safari tour from their travel agent in the hotel, and everything was smooth, safe, and fun. Rooms are also nice, spacious, with additional chairs and tables. They offer two glass bottles of water every time they clean and refill it any time you need it.

I cannot say I didn’t like something. Maybe some peculiarities to keep in mind: the hotel beach is pretty small and waters are not the best to swim in as they’re surrounded by nearby construction works and a road (it’s quite personal though and some people swam, generally water is clean and it’s only the matter of personal preference). But deck chairs and beach infrastructure in general are lovely and we enjoyed to sunbath there even without swimming (they have a good swimming pool though). Also sound insulation is not that good in the room and you will hear people talking and passing down the corridor while you’re in your room. And the last thing, the AC, to some people it might feel too cold and I don’t know why we didn’t manage to change the temperature, it was still cold all the time when it was on.

A highly disappointing stay, not recommended and not worth the price paid

The location was convenient for attending events in Abu Dhabi.

The hotel is very old and poorly maintained, with an unpleasant smell in the room and corridors. The air conditioning was extremely loud and could not be properly turned off, making it impossible to sleep. Despite closing the AC, the noise continued throughout the night. This caused significant discomfort and sleep deprivation.

Stuff is really kind, supportive and helpful. Food is nice. Beds are really comfy and the room is clean. Club lounge is a bit limited. We spent the new years at the Hotel's dinner & party. It was worth to do it. We had a lot of fun during our star.

Club lounge is a bit limited and prob. bec. it was newyears time. Food&drink service was a bit slow in general, would have been better execept new years party. In new years party it was really fast and the dinner was wonderful. In generel the stuff is trying their best with a smile.

A great family vacation

Overall had a really great stay at this hotel, mainly as a result of the staff who were all very friendly and helpful. The standout member was Dip, who served us amazingly well at breakfast. Nothing was too much for him and his daily offerings of something different such as slicing up a mango or a caramel flavoured coffee was really appreciated.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment which had pretty much everything needed but lacked character as it had a lot of empty wall and floor space. I didnt like the overpowering perfume smell in the corridors which seemed to be pumped out of machines in the passages.

Good value, quality hotel in excellent downtown location

I particularly liked the friendliness of all the staff - in reception, room service and in the Captain's Arms bar. The location was also excellent, being near near to the Abu Dhabi Mall (with a very good currency exchange - Al Ansari).

Pleasant Stay near the mall.

The check-in Experience was so smooth, they don't bother you when you go out or anything it's a nice and cost place. Also its very close to the Abu Dhabi shopping Mall its just 5 minutes walk.

Very nice room, bed I would take home. Breakfast is fabulous, staff is professional.

The hotel used to be posh, but since the moment of opening a lot of things have changed. Now it’s in the middle of the construction site. And if you are expecting a sea shore, you will be disappointed as now sea is rather dirty.

Humiliating

Sadly I had numerous issues before, during and after my stay here at Le Meredian. I sent an email to the General Manager who is yet to reply to me which is so sad as a polite response would have alleviated such a negative review. The lack of response highlights that they do not value customers/Bonvoy members and I highly recommend not staying at this hotel.

Nice hotel but could benefit with a "refresh"

Great central location - near shopping mall with direct beach access and nice pool. Attentive staff throughout all departments keen to please.

Hotel rooms feel dated, it's an old property compared to other newer hotels nearby. This is reflected in some chunky / vintage furnishings. Shower / bath access was bit difficult due to height step and width.

Enjoyable stay.

Location was convenient, a close drive to the Grand Mosque Abu Dhabi 20min, Emirate's Palace, local Mall as well as The Galleria Mall 10 min. by car. Car parking space at the back of hotel. Liked that you can self park. Great view of significant buildings from the hotel room as well as at the Beach Club. Helpful and friendly staff.

Don’t upgrade to club lounge

Nice pool. The room was a bit small but updated. Breakfast was very nice- great selection.

I decided to get a room with club lounge. I wasn’t impressed with the lounge and its offerings. Very limited snacks during happy hour. The lounge itself was small and uninviting. I am well traveled and this was the worst lounge experience I’ve had.

Modern,Resort style hotel, right on the waterfront.With it's own Beach and landscaped grounds. Opposite the Excellent, Downtown, Abu Dhabi Mall .

Great value for money

We loved our stay, the pool and beach were set up well for kids. The food was all delicious and the breakfast spread was one of the best I have had.
