Hotel Bayerischer Hof

The breakfast was great, the room was good. For the price we paid, I expected more. It just wasn’t up to par with hotels at that price point. Although I haven’t say when I asked for a second pillow for each of us, we got it.

The night before we left, I was doing my skin care routine and noticed that my castor oil was gone. I wrote an email immediately that evening and never received a response prior to checkout. When I mentioned my castor oil went missing, the front desk person said she would look into it. I said maybe the cleaning lady dropped the bottle and it broke? She said if they break anything they are required to leave it there. Well, that didn’t happen and she said the staff doesn’t steal. She said she would get back to me. No one has. I debated whether I should bring the castor oil with me on this trip, but I was already a month into my skin treatment and I did not want to start from square one. Now I am without and still nothing from the hotel.

Comfortable, elegant, and perfectly equipped rooms, everything perfectly clean and tidy. Small capsule coffee machine in the room. Highly professional and helpful staff. No problem storing luggage after check-out. Breakfast tasty and sufficiently plentiful. Hotel very close to the train station and city center.

Unfortunately, we accidentally chose a night when there were some festivities in Prien, and right in front of the hotel, on a narrow street, there was a music stage blocking the entire street. Our room faced this street and was a few meters from the stage. In the evening, there was a music program on the stage, and a fairly large audience gathered there. The music was interesting and listenable, but we were too tired and rather needed to sleep. Unfortunately, the music could still be heard even after closing the windows and drawing the curtains. The performance did not end until 11 p.m., and loud noise could still be heard from the street long after midnight. We understand that this is not the hotel's responsibility and that similar musical events are part of the summer program in cities. However, we didn't get much sleep because of it, and the price of accommodation seemed too high under these circumstances. If we had known about the event earlier, we would have chosen quieter accommodation elsewhere.

There is a refrigerator. The hotel is close to the stock, 25 minutes walk.

Even with the current situation of Covid-19, breakfast was offered with high standards for hygiene. Great location close to the Bahnhof, very comfortable and clean rooms.

The hotel is 20 mins walk to the lake.

Goid staff. Excellent location. Excellent breakfast.
