Hotel Fürst Bismarck

Lovely staff, beautiful building, I asked if I can get a room with a bathtub and my wish was granted. Everything was clean, the building is really nice. I did even have a kind of a manual AC stored in my wardrobe which I could have used. 24 hours reception. Next door restaurants are great, 5 mins walk is Edeka. There is a bus stop is just few meters from the hotel. You can walk to the city center just around the trainstation, it takes 5 mins at max. If you have a room in the back of the building, you may get lost for a moment - take the elevator to the 1st floor, turn left, then you`ll see staff elevator and a long hall leading to a small yard (for smoking), turn left again down the stairs, where is a seating area with a coffee machine and take an elevator to the upper floors.

The location is bit noisy as can be expected, but with closed windows you dont hear a thing. That is the price for being located just across the Hamburg trainstation.

The hotel coped with the extreme heat as well as it could. Two air conditioners were provided and chilled water but because the windows had to be open at night there was a lot of noise from the street at the back of the hotel.

We would have liked more fresh fruit available at breakfast. It was otherwise very good. We have absolutely no complaints.

The room was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Price on booking.com did not match what I payed The hotel is very central and noisy, could not close a window. There was no kettle for a hot drink
