It’s not maintained well enough. It’s a pity to have nice features but then not taking care. We had room 409 - the wall mirror by the bed was cracked, the restroom has a very nice magnifying mirror, which was unfortunately useless since it is completely matt and fogged up, with flickering lighting. The decoration was special but it was quite dusty and so that affects the first impression when entering the room, touching things, etc…

Quirky design conjuring up days gone by and historical opulence. Lovely Breakfast with attentive staff.

Quite expensive for a hotel of this size of rooms.

Location superb, not right in city centre, thus quiet. It is right next to U-Bahn station and 5 minutes' walk away from supermarket. The decor is charming. The old-style switches, really charming. There is actually a built in music system, speakers are high up, so the sound seems to come from everywhere. Just need to find the right switch ;-) If only I knew how to play my own music. That was fun. Room was very small and there wasn't any table, that was just about the only thing that was inconvenient. I needed to study, the staff allowed me to sit at the lobby to do so. The staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️... I had a lovely chat with the receptionist when I arrived. And she told me her colleague who came in the morning speaks French and I could practise with her. And she did and had so much patience with my awful attempt :) The best part was - I left my sunglasses in my room. When I realised it, they let me into the room to search for it. I couldn't find it and didn't know what to do. I approached the chambermaid ... she was so determined to help me, she opened all the cupboards, and I meant ALL ... she found my sunglasses 💎. She's a gem. Thank you again. I never had so much to say about a hotel. This one was special. Every once in a while, we find a gem. And it is the people who make all the difference.

For the size of the room, I would have preferred a single bed, table and a stand for the suitcase. Since I was there for just one night, it was ok :)

The hotel concept was appealing; it has its own vibe.

It’s clear that the hotel isn’t new — it’s worn out and needs renovation or better attention to cleanliness. In our room, there were stains on the bed, the bathroom mirror was cloudy, and the plumbing was covered in limescale that looks like it has built up over years. So, while it feels stylish, it’s not properly clean. We were also checked in 1.5 hours late — almost at 5:00 PM instead of the scheduled 3:00 PM check-in time. This disrupted all my plans.
