An unexpectedly excellent overnight stay

Looking at the photos, I wasn’t expecting much but it was large family apartment , clean and well maintained and the receptionist was very kind and welcoming even though we checked in around midnight after a long and delayed road trip. The breakfast was an unexpected and very pleasant surprise, even though it’s not a huge buffet, it’s simple and everything was very tasty, especially the croissants which are some of the best I’ve ever tasted.

Dirty & in need of a total overhaul

The location was ok

This hotel needs a lot of money spent on it. The rooms are in a terrible state of disrepair. Most things are broken, walls need painting, wiring on show. The toilet & bathrooms are in tiny cupboards. Dirty

the staff was super friendly and helpful, thinking and looking for practical solutions … where to park the car, where to leave the dog etc. we got a room upgrade right away, cause the dog was big. ;)

Warm Welcome but hotel a bit outdated

The owner (or manager) was extremely friendly and helpful, great start when you arrive. They accept dog with an extra charge (quite common) but you need to let them know ahead of time so they can pick certain room (understandable) The location is very close to the park and not too far from the main street where may restaurants and shop can be found Overall the room was comfortable

The hotel overall is a bit outdated and could do with some freshen up The bathroom only had a bath and no shower curtain so can get messy there was one small wardrobe but honestly difficult to access due to were it is placed in the room, making it difficult to empty your suitcase. It was ok for us because we were not staying long

An oasis after a long drive.

We arrived late at night, yet the own Laurent was there to meet and greet us. He carried out case to the room, showed us around. He had also booked a table for at the only restaurant opened at that time of night in Vittel. Off street parking was great so we did not need to unpack the car. Nice touch to be served drinks by a person with the buffet breakfast. We received 5 star service! The location was wonderful. Close to restaurants and the park.

Individual motorcycle traveller - visiting Vittel Parc Thermal

Very friendly reception. The owner (?), at least the person checking me in upon arrival was very helpful in pointing out the required parking spot (behind the hotel, separated from the road), make a restaurant reservation of the evening, and helping in getting my luggage to the room. Close to the center and the Parc Thermal. Possibility of leave luggage in hotel after checkout to get opportunity to walk through the parks and city. Got an upgrade to a larger bed and breakfast upon checkin.

Physical reception hidden in the dining room, I did not find it initially. Difference in friendliness of staff: staff at the morning/breakfast appeared much less friendly and helpful than the staff in the afternoon/evening (perhaps the latter one was the owner). Small bathroom. Small room.

We were surprised about the large building and not all seems part of the hotel, but no worries -bedrooms are renovated, clean and comfortable beds.

Best place for your money in Vittel?

We arrived quite late but someone, whom I believe to be the owner, welcomed us literally with open arms! Showed us a parking spot he saved for us and made us a last minute reservation at an amazing restaurant. This man was super sweet. He even helped us carry our luggages to our room where he checked if everything was as clean as it should be. This was not the most expensive hotel we stayed at but certainly the best, which made us quite sad we only got to stay 1 night. Certainly going back when we're around again.

The beds didn't feel as comfy as the night before in another hotel, but they were still very good. Besides that I can't really think of anything negative from this hotel.

Mr Laurent is special guy. He is going they extra mile. Service which nowadays is hardly to find. My wife forgot some stuff when leaving the hotel, Mr Laurent sent this package out by courier to our next destination on his own expense, this is a marvelous service. Lovely host. Comfortable hotel. Close to town centre.

Excellent host. Our host, Laurent, greeted us personally and showed us where to park our motorcycles. Also took us to our room and showed us the room which is a nice touch. He also made a booking for our dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant as it was a Friday evening.

The bar was closed as they were awaiting a new licence. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have a beer after a long journey in the rain.
