Most expensive hotel of trip but nowhere near the best.

We enjoyed a nice beer at the outside tables served by friendly bar staff. Made up for disinterested young reception staff.

Nowhere to store bikes other than reception. (Which we did know in advance to be fair).

The room had absolutely everything you need for a short stay. Fiona and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. There was a very relaxed atmosphere. Dinner was lovely.

Superb

The whole facility was very nice and the reception staff very pleasant. The Scottish lady in the bar, Fiona, was very attentive, the only English speaking member of staff I met and very pleasant to chat with. Evening meal was excellent.

I would have preferred a walk in shower, rather than a bathtub with shower attachment. I would have liked a location reference to enter into my sat nav.

Ideally located for day trips to Utah and Omaha Beach

It was a very spacious room with a big bathroom. We think it was designed for handicapped people. We had expected two separate oneperson beds, but it was 1 twopersons-bed and 1 oneperson-bed. It took a while to get used to the room, but in the end we decided it was a good room.

The man at the reception seemed surprised with our question if there was no other room with two 1-personbeds. In his opnion, our wish for "separate beds" was met with this room.

We liked the welcome and family atmosphere. The breakfast was very good and extra coffee and tea were on offer at any time 24/7. Stored bike in reception. Evening restaurant meal very good.

Bedroom slightly basic and scruffy but many new mattresses were being delivered as we left.

Room was not clean, surfaces were dusty and the floor was very dirty. Poor breakfast because staff brought additional bread from the town in the middle of the breakfast time. View is not similar as mentioned on the advertisement.

very basic, but overpriced for that level. Wet room potentially good but so damp it stank and made the room stink. after a shower at 6 pm it was still wet in there by morning so nothing dried out and just smelt foul of damp, which pervaded the room. staff lovely.
