An excellent hotel for the money

Perhaps the tables in the buffet restaurant could have been made of something other than plastic, as some of them were unstable when you leaned on them.

Perfect location for a memorable relaxing summer vacation

- fantastic location: not to far from Protaras, the main city (15 min on foot), and very close to 3 superb beaches - the nature surrounding is superb - very complex in terms of endowments - the see facing rooms have a spectacular perspective - they have almost everything for almost everybody - huge variety on breakfast

- Tends to be noisy during the night because of traffic, especially if you have a room facing the main road - I would prefer a double bed mattress and not 2 single mattresses put next to each other

Has a lot of areas that need improvements

Simply stunning area and location with the bay and cloesness to the ocean, The Abalone and the Stonegrill restaurants are simply fantastic. Ice creambar was exceptional.

Breakfast holds very low quality in comparison to hotel standards, it is at the same level as the lowest price all-inclusives in the area, no fresh juice, all breakfast under heated lamps, all eggs are ready made, no freshly made pancakes, no fresh or iced coffee, just these superboring coffeee machines, no ordering from the table but worst of all are these so called juicemachines, simply suger-extracts. We upgraded to what they call Ultra all inclusive dine around at €100 a day and this did not include breakfast as this was already included in the roomprice. This was supposed to include all bars, all restaurants, all icecream and all international brands of alcohol. But immediately after paying you are served with a documents full of restrictions. The staff immediate loves to tell you a long story of what you are not "allowed" as is the word they use: .you are not allowed to lunch in any other restaurant than the buffet (which has the exacts same food as lowest class all inclusive hotels in the area -you are not allowed any cognac, whisky, gin, or vodka but the local brands - I like to have carribbean style drinks, as daquiris, margaritas and pina coladas but the Cavo Maris does not offer fresh orange juices, fresh strawberrys or any type of slices of lemon, lime, berrys, banana or straws, they simply put the completely unknown brand of mezcal and pump some strawberry syrup from a dispenser and give it to you, it is completely undrinklable. The staff ignores you when you try to order from the bars, even when bar is empty. You are simply told by the staff that - you are not allowed. We were told every day that "you only have bed and breakfast" even when showing the card. Remember that we were 4 people and paid €400/day for lunch drinks and dinner, then consider that the dinnerplates are ca 20-25€ and the lunchplates are €10-18 at the taverna restaurant by the pool, there is simply no way for 1 guest to reach €100/day in spending.

Great for everyone and plenty to keep busy throughout the day or just sit back and relax

Perfect for families with plenty to do around the hotel, children's activities are available, and the small pool is particularly helpful for the little ones. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from with some of the best views of the sea. We love it and will be coming back.

The breakfast is good, but could have a few more choices and variations of items.

Nice hotel but unprofessional staff

The rooms are nicely renovated. There are a lot of options for lunch/dinner. We also appreciated the direct access to the beach

Breakfast quality could be improved. I really disliked our check out experience. They tried to charge us a restaurant bill that was not ours. The person dealing with this was rude, dishonest and did not even apologize when it was clear that she made a mistake. Mistakes happen, it’s ok, just own them.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel—it was spotless, welcoming, and perfect for families. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. A special thanks to Julia at reception, who greeted us so warmly and even arranged a surprise for our anniversary: cold champagne and sweets waiting in our room. Such a thoughtful gesture! The restaurant was fantastic. Everyone was kind and attentive—special shoutout to Comfort, Maria, and Margarita (though everyone was lovely). The food was delicious, and we appreciated the dedicated kids’ menu. Unfortunately, we got a bit sick during our trip and didn’t get to explore everything, like the kids’ club. We did visit the indoor playroom, which was a nice option to have, though some equipment wasn’t working and there was a strong odor in the space. Our room was fresh, clean, and very comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job every day. The hotel is clearly designed with families in mind—we saw many other families with small children, which made us feel right at home.

Since this is a family-friendly hotel, it might be helpful to remind guests to keep noise levels down in the evenings. There were a few nights when music or loud conversations from nearby balconies continued past 9 PM, which can be a challenge with young children trying to sleep.

Once again we had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cavo Maris Beach Hotel! From the start, the staff were warm, welcoming, and professional. To our surprise and delight, we were upgraded to a suite – and it truly made our holiday unforgettable. The suite was spacious, beautifully furnished, and had a stunning sea view. We felt completely spoiled! ☺️ Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Staff were so polite!

We had a 5 months old baby with us, booked 2 night with full board, and we were given a room with a connected door with the room next door.. even though it was locked, with a baby it is not save in the idea, annoying for the neighbors to hear the baby crying so easily because of the door; but also for us that could hear the neighbors shouting and coughing which was waking up the baby very often.. families with infants should be given a more private and spacious room, especially when paying nearly twice the price others we know did and got a room that has a small living room in it aswell.

The hotel was clean with spacious and nicely decorated rooms. Beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was quite good. There were also plenty of sunbeds and space to relax by the pool.

Service could be improved. A receptionist gave confusing info about the room’s electricity, leading to unnecessary hassle. Also, cleaning staff entered our room before check-out and removed some of our belongings, thinking we had left. Lastly, the adult-only sunbed area wasn't monitored — families with kids and even non-guests were using it.

Already Dreaming of Coming Back!

Easy access with clear signage made arrival stress-free. The hotel offers a large, safe car park behind a secure barrier. The place looks just like the photos - no unpleasant surprises. The staff were kind and helpful. We arrived early and appreciated the luggage storage and welcome drink - always cold water with mint and lemon at the entrance. Such a thoughtful detail! Our room was bright, clean, and modern, with a beautiful view. It had everything we needed: plenty of towels, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion, hygiene kits), a full-length mirror (a rare gem!), a great hairdryer, strong A/C, and daily housekeeping. The hotel is full of attractions - from pools for all ages (including jacuzzi and shaded baby pool), direct beach access via a palm-lined path, and water sports, to a gym, spa, mini golf, tennis, and evening shows that were truly entertaining. The breakfast was fantastic, with everything from English classics to local delicacies like olives and halloumi. The salad bar, fresh and roasted veggies (amazing eggplant!), great bread, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, and a wide drink selection made every morning a treat. When it came to restaurants and bars, the hotel offered delicious variety — from local food (best Greek salad with capers!) to sushi, burgers, Italian, and amazing cocktails, including a swim-up bar.

Honestly, the only regret we have is not staying longer and not choosing the all-inclusive option. We had the chance to try some of the same food and drinks offered in the all-inclusive package, and we were genuinely impressed by the quality - much better than we expected! It definitely wasn’t one of those places where the drinks are mostly water with barely any juice or alcohol (like we've experienced elsewhere, for example in Egypt). If we come back - and we absolutely plan to - we’ll definitely go for the full experience!

We had a wonderful stay at Cavo Maris! The location is excellent, and there are plenty of entertainment options and activities for kids, which made our experience even more enjoyable as a family. The restaurant staff were incredibly polite and kind to our babies, and we’d like to give a special thanks to Comfort, who was extremely attentive and helpful, always with a smile on his face — truly a joy to be around. We also want to thank Miriam at the reception, who handled our check-in. She made us feel truly welcomed from the very start. She was warm, professional, and an excellent host. Highly recommend this hotel for families traveling with little ones!

Not my preferred choice if I am coming back again

The location of the hotel is nice and there are lots of restaurants close by. Stuff very friendly and this should definitely be mentioned.

Actually, the interior of our room was not cozy at all. It seems that they just combined 2 rooms and put an extra sofa in. Given the price we paid I will not consider the hotel anymore. Price/value is not given. During my Cyprus trip I stayed in nicer hotels at half of the price.

It cost me 1350 euro for 2 days. I booked two rooms. Not worth it!

Forgot two Stanley cups in the room. Household never reported that they found them although I was sure 100% i left them inside the room. I called many times and they said that they would call me back. They never did. After a week I called again and they said they found nothing.

All details matter

A few kilometers from the busy, noisy and smelly Protaras, this place was a real gem, with stunning open space facing the sea and beautiful palm tree garden. There is a path next to the sea where we were able to walk kilometers in the evenings. Our room on the 4th floor had comfy beds, we had a really good sleep and were fully relaxed. Large and 3.15m deep outdoor pool, good cocktails at the pool bar as well. The food - not the high end meals, but we were able to find something to try each time, especially if it was local (souvlaki, keftedes, tzatziki, anari cheese). The entertainment- we enjoyed Mariya's night the most. Many thanks to the menagment for the birthday wishes received in advance and despite I was leaving the hotel that day. Small details with big impression!
