-worst experience is breakfast. Just add extra bucks to the price of stay, but improve breakfast. Low selection of protein. 1 chicken dish. A lot of processed meat. Very bad coffee. Very poor bakery. Low selection of fruits. This is the only reason not to come again. Breakfast as bad as in 2* hotel. I am ready to pay more and return but with completely changed breakfast.

Picture perfect property with stunning white beaches and gorgeous views. The hotel is at the top of the island, at a narrow point, so the hotel enjoys sunrise and sunset depending on which side you’re on. There are some cute beachfront restaurants next to the hotel and if you want to go into the small town nearby there are bike taxis to take you. There you can find a walkable street of restaurants, gift shops and massage places. You can hire a long boat to take you to the main town which is a fun day trip. They also can organised your transport to the hotel which is incredibly useful.
You could tell it needed a bit of TLC and that the property was old. Cleaning was fairly average (surface cleaning) with lots of dust under beds etc.
These are all things which are outweighed by the stunning location, and if you’re happy to not be in total luxury. But, I’d suggest staying max 4-5 nights as after this they start to grate on you a bit.
I should mention that they do have a kids club which, having since been to a few other hotels, was a bit dreary. They would benefit from investing in more toys and things for the kids to do. The staff were lovely there though!

The location on the beautiful beach.
The resort feels far too large to maintain properly, and unfortunately this shows. A significant amount of work is needed for it to meet the standard expected of luxury accommodation.
