Pool room was lovely, the room was well equipped, onsite restaurants were good, staff were lovely and the buggy transfer up the hill very welcome!
Our sunset pool villa was at the top of the hill and a bit remote from the main facilities. Those that were adjacent had limited opening hours. As mosquitoes are a problem more enclosed restaurant options would be good.

Location is good. Surrounding areas are stunning.
We booked Phi Phi Holiday Resort based on an exceptional previous stay in 2023, which made this visit all the more disappointing.
Upon arrival, we were placed in a room overlooking a dilapidated, abandoned construction site. The surrounding area gave the unsettling feeling of living in a dirty back alley, with an atmosphere that felt neglected, unpleasant, and completely at odds with what one expects from a resort of this price and reputation. It honestly felt like a taste of living in filth, not a holiday destination.
When we raised our dissatisfaction with the manager on duty, the response was shockingly dismissive. We were told that we had booked a “cheap” hilltop room, as if that justified placing guests in such poor and degrading surroundings. No effort was made to acknowledge our concerns or offer a reasonable alternative.
Instead, we were told that if we were unhappy, they were “happy to refund us” so we could seek accommodation elsewhere on the Phi Phi strip. This is an unreasonable and disingenuous offer, especially during peak season, when the resort knows full well that finding alternative accommodation on short notice on a small island is nearly impossible. The offer felt calculated, as they were clearly aware that guests are stuck on the island regardless.
Had we known beforehand that this room came with such an unpleasant view and surrounding environment, we would never have booked this resort. There are cheaper hotels on Phi Phi with far better surroundings and more honest representation of their rooms.
This experience is a far cry from the Phi Phi Holiday Resort we remembered in 2023. Sadly, the quality of service, attitude toward guests, and overall standards appear to have declined significantly.
We will not be returning and cannot recommend this resort based on our current experience.

Location is fabulous . Lovely beach .
Total lack of sun beds for the amount of people present, the sun-beds were antiquated inferior plastic not suitable for this resort .
Lack of upkeep and maintenance, the rooms are really dated , mould in the shower, door handle dirty and falling off .
On arrival booking in was very difficult due to lack of knowledge from the staff , too many trainee’s !
Unfortunately the resort is not representative of the 4 stars awarded to it .

The location on the beautiful beach.
The resort feels far too large to maintain properly, and unfortunately this shows. A significant amount of work is needed for it to meet the standard expected of luxury accommodation.

The resort has a wonderful beach, eating and drinking options and excellent rooms (comfortable, lots of hot water, quiet). Staff in general were excellent - friendly, helpful, polite. We appreciated the honesty of the tour staff who advised us not to go on a snorkelling tour as the water visibility would be poor. If the weather had not been constant rain and heavy seas the resort would have been a very memorable experience. With sunny weather a '10'.
Having a fast boat directly to Krabi or Phuket was a great relief on our departure, so why not on arrival?
Unfortunately the very poor weather made our stay less enjoyable than it should have been, and probably led to some of the following issues.
A bit disappointed in the staff upon our arrival as they didn't help us much getting off the long boat in rough water conditions (we are all in our 70's). Also the check-in process was more onerous than it should have been.
We were taken totally by surprise that it was only boat access when we reached the ferry terminal and scrambled to book a boat. It should be made perfectly clear ahead of time. The prices that the resort charges are relatively high, so there should be scheduled pickups by speedboat from the ferries -preferably included in but even added to the costs. We really had no idea and booked a longboat on the spot for what turned out to be a very long and difficult journey through heavy seas.
We were at the south end of the resort and there were no beach towels available at the infinity pool and the Monkey Bar at that end was never open, despite many rooms being used in the area. More information should have been offered about the Sunset Bar and Restaurant. We happened to go up there on our last night and despite the poor weather it was a wonderful spot that we would have used more often.

Lovely hotel right on Leam Tong Beach, the hotel also organised a great tour to Maya Bay and Pileh Lagoon.
Limited choice of restaurants in the area. Away from the main town of Phi Phi Don.

Some construction and renovation ongoing. Property, especially the greenery could be in better shape

The staff was very friendly, they all made our stay very pleasant.
The whole resort needs renovation. Missing tiles or broken tiles at the pool, broken bed, dirty showerheads, old TV with just a hand full of channels, there's no directory about where all facilities are.

Very nice location, the staff is very friendly, they helped us from the boat to the room and back. The water is amazing, the view from the room just wow!

1. Staff/Service. Thai people are very kind and hospitable everywhere, not only here, but the Holiday team really tries to make our stay special. It would be wrong to single out anyone in particular, the whole team is wonderful, and some do not write their names on their badges (only nicknames), but our special thanks to:
Restaurant: Ms. Thanya, Namfon, Aon, "Boss", Mr. "Kong" and Mr. "Big Duck"
Reception: Ms. Breas, Mr. Pooky
But, I repeat, the whole team was great, and we are very grateful to them.
2. The sea. The best beach in the area. The largest protected swimming area among all the hotels. Especially well visible at low tide - you can swim without scratching the bottom. In most other places you will walk, not swim. On the left is a living reef with all sorts of fish, including moray eels. Don't forget your camera. Also, this is not a harbor, but the open sea, so the water is clean, without rip currents, calm.
3. The restaurant. Excellent authentic dishes. I highly recommend the pomelo salad. The best Tom Yum in the area.
4. Entertainment. My favorite part is the cooking classes. I can't think of another place where the sous chef (!) of a good local restaurant will personally show you all the secrets of cooking five local dishes of your choice. And you will have many other options.
5. Rooms. There are several bungalow options: sunset view on the top of the hill (7xx), in the garden (3xx, 4xx), on the beach (1xx, 5xx). You will easily find something to your liking.

I loved the scenic ocean view from my private pools.
I love the remarkable fast and easy way whilst checked in that staff took you around the resort to and from your room in the buggy.
I love the fact the manager called and checked up on me when I was severely ill as a solo passenger.
I love the doctor who comforted me and treated me swiftly for d&v, without incurring charges.
I love the fact the beds were comfy.
Despite monsoon season the rain is warm so you can enjoy the pool throughout.
The beach itself is amazing, nothing like UK, pure bliss, even when it downpoured.
When it gets hot it gets really hot. So keep hydrated.
I would’ve expected the fridge to have a few more complimentary items, given the derelict location of an island.
The beddings and the gowns had either soil marks or old washed and dried blood stains. Which should never have been on my bed and my rack.
The food and drink seemed a little limited, which caused me to fall very ill.
I don’t blame the resort but by the time I was well enough the weather was bad and could not go off the island to explore. Lost all 3 days to sickness and weather being monsoon season. Be careful about leaving doors open as wildlife does enter at times.
Despite all of this, the island was a beauty away from the busy life of reality.
Charges getting on, off or around the island gets steep. So be mindful of that. They said I couldn’t explore the island itself which left me feeling bored as a solo traveller
I probably would come back just for the peace and avoid eating on resort.
7.0 / 10.0
The location is good at this time of year in the monsoon as the wind is from the west. The rooms are nice and well laid out, with good facilities and a well stocked mini bar which was free and restocked every day, with water, beer and soft drinks. Plus some snacks. There was an unexpected snooker room which we used when it rained. The beach is very clean and the resort well maintained. The day trip possibilities were very good and the snorkelling areas are great. The sunset bar and restaurant are good but the food very expensive.
The room was a coral sea room without a sea view and it backed onto a stream/pond. This means mosquitoes and frogs were abundant. Very noisy frogs at night but not every night. The breakfast was quite basic and unimaginative with no change between days. 3 of the 4 of us were sick so we are not sure if it was the water or ice or food but it wasn’t pleasant. The restaurant food was also a bit basic and we ended up going to another beach hotel called Saii to eat. We probably came at the wrong time of year (Aug) as it was windy and rainy. I was also expecting the coral and sea life to be better- it is quite damaged due to so many boats and tourists and over fishing.

It was beautiful overlooking the ocean from the pool. Even with the rainy weather. The staff were lovely and the food was great.

A beautiful beach with a view of the smaller islands.
The restaurant was as if it were off-season. It was an island hotel, but see-food like shrimp was served defrosted. It was greasy and tasteless. And it was twice as expensive as, say, Phuket. Islanders cruised back and forth on the beach on incredibly loud motorbikes, completely disrupting the peace and privacy.

Beautiful location, beautiful beach, staff are wonderful and polite. Everything was clean.

The staff are all superb. Made the stay.
It’s a bit tired and not great value for money. I get that the location is great, but food and drink average and expensive considering. Pool areas not particularly well maintained and beds are almost unusable.

the sunset pool was the best and we enjoyed the cocktail hour and we also loved the fish served. tHE NIGHT LIGHTS WERE AMAZING AND THE ROOM WAS SUPER COMEFORTABLE.
was not so great and the stuff could be more kind towards black people they were not so smiley but only one that knows English was kind than the rest - but yes we wish they served us better just like how they served white people. SIMPLE

Our room was right in front of the beach and next to one of the pools.
It was 45 minutes boat trip to the Saii pier.
7.0 / 10.0
Facility had 3 pools, 2 infinity pools and one family pool. We used the family pool mostly
Used the PADI accredited Scuba facility offered by the resort and it was fantastic
Breakfast was simple, limited, but good
Went during the off season, and things seemed too quiet. The sunset bar and its pool were not maintained during our stay
Breakfast timing was till 10AM which seemed a but short given people go there to relax and may need extended breakfast time
We went there in May, and the sea was extremely choppy. Took a speedboat from Phuket to the island, and back- and in choppy waters, you will need a very strong stomach to go through the 75 minute boat ride
2.0 / 10.0
The resort itself is quite nice, it feels very isolated and is on the beach front
This hotel does not meet four-star standards. Small details were lacking, wall fixings were loose, and there were flies on the breakfast food. The location is remote and inconvenient, requiring a costly 1,500–2,000 THB transfer. We checked out two days early, but there was no early checkout policy. Staying on the main island was cheaper, with better food options, more to do, and no 30-minute boat ride. Would not recommend.

The only good thing was the beach.
We booked a room with private pool, this was not clean, it had tissue/wet wipes floating in it, it was also green around the edge and on the steps nothing like the picture, we asked for the pool to be cleaned and came back to pond coloured green pool, so we could not use it. the decked area was full of leaves, not swept for a long time. There was a hole by lighting area around the private pool and broken wooden slates. I went to plug something into the plug socket on the desk, which is incased to find it was cracked and had mouldy food & dust inside it. The gardens are overgrown & there was a dirty plate & drinks cooler by our room on arrival & it was still there when we left.
There was a half smoked joint in the safe!
The room was not clean & we got eaten alive during the night by what I am not sure off but I could feel things crawling on me in bed, it was like it came alive during the night, my partner had bites all on his feet & ankles which swelt and took a few days to go down. The outside pool areas are infested with mosquito and are also unkempt with broken tiles & just dirty. We were meant to stay for 2 nights for my birthday but left after 1 night! When asked why we were leaving early, we mentioned the above, and the response was that we couldn't get a refund! (we didn't want a refund)
We have been doing a tour of Thailand and this is by far the worst hotel we visited & the most expensive.
4.0 / 10.0
The beach was great and two pools on lower level were good.
The room was decent. The TV selection was excellent
Run down. Poor service except from the towel person and ferry transfer staff. The food bad with flies on open food. The included breakfast was very poor. There were no activities. And they did not tell us about what they had on site. Such as dinner needing to booked 1day prior at sunset bar or snooker and ping pong table we found at end of stay
1.0 / 10.0
Stunning location. The transfers were efficient and well organised.
We booked a Coral View Room which was a major disappointment. The room was dingy and in desperate need of a complete refurbishment. The furnishings were all marked and dated. It was awful. We were reluctant to use the shower with its shabby shower curtain as it just looked unclean. Whilst there was also an outdoor shower we didn’t bother opening the door as we could see through the window what state that was in.
Breakfast was distinctly average and no attempt was made by staff to cover food which was surrounded by flies. Plastic sun loungers were provided on the beach but there were no mattresses which made them distinctly uncomfortable. Thankfully, we had only booked 2 nights. It was very telling that on check out we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay. If you are considering this resort then pick your room type with care. There are some new bungalows close to the shore line which appear modern and well equipped which would no doubt provide a different outlook on the property but I would in any case, question the resorts 4 star rating. We are in Thailand for 6 weeks and this was our most expensive per night accommodation and so far the absolute worst.

Beautiful Resort and location with fabulous staff and facilities. Had a wonderful stay with the family (including child aged 11)
We highly recommend.
7.0 / 10.0
Serene beach, excellent swimming pools, and the resort's proximity to attractions like Maya Bay, Bamboo Island. The swimming pools are well-regarded, and the resort offers various amenities like snorkelling equipment and a spa. I express a desire to return and stay longer, to see and use the complete property.
Total 150 rooms in the resort - with less number of staff to respond. very few activity for kids in the hotel making kids get bored very quickly.

Great location, easy to access long tail boats cheaper than hotel offers, health club, great food
While clean with a wonderful staff, it could use a little updating

Excellent room beautiful resort excellent beaches very nice people
Nice place but a little bit expensive
7.0 / 10.0
Nice bar and restaurant options along the beach
Nice infinity pool barely used
Tiles at infinity pool have all fallen off in places which could cut someone. The flooring scorches your feet could burn an unaware toddler.
Madness that the bar at the sunset pool is only open a few hours.

The location was unbelievable!! Amazing white sand beaches and turquoise water
The private pool room was a little run down but the private pool was perfect. The staff were amazing.
8.0 / 10.0
We’ve been here three times - the location is the best on the island and that’s why we continue to go. If there were no restaurants or villages surrounding the resort, we would go somewhere else.
It’s the service. Limited English speakers, most the time the staff don’t understand you. For a resort of this standard, you expect better service. Staff lack initiative and don’t go out of their way. When I asked at the bar for a cup of ice, I was told to call room service. When I asked for a roll of toilet paper, I was directed to use the public toilet instead of my room. Totally unacceptable.
7.0 / 10.0
Was perfect to the beach and a nice resort
I booked a sunset pool room and it was far from the facility and my view was definitely not worth the money as I could hardly see anything. My room was the last room in the row and view was blocked by trees and a wall. They would not provide a discount either.
8.0 / 10.0
Set in a remote corner of Phi Phi, this resort is a remarkable feat of construction and location. The jungle-fringed grounds are vast and atmospheric, with frogs serenading the paths by night and even the occasional snake sighting to spice up your stroll. The beach is idyllic—peaceful, coral-rich, and home to the best snorkeling we encountered in southern Thailand. The infinity pool is beautifully positioned, just steps from the sea, and we spent two blissful days drifting between saltwater and poolside. The breakfast buffet has range and charm, and overall, the place exudes laid-back island life.
But it also feels, at times, like a budget hotel in disguise. Details are missed: mugs and kettles in the rooms, but no coffee sachets; bins left to overflow; poolside towels requiring a cross-campus trek and vanishing by morning. The astroturf around the infinity pool is worn and joyless, and the early towel return time is baffling. The breakfast area becomes gridlocked thanks to an underwhelming coffee setup—few machines, endless queues, and no real urgency to fix it. Room features like stiff curtains add to a sense that the place could be vastly improved by someone simply walking around each day with a critical eye and a checklist.
7.0 / 10.0
The location to this place is just beyond amazing and by far the best beach in the whole of Thailand. The room which is a bungalow and is very basic, especially the bathroom. I paid nearly £300 for two nights here and there were others hotels cheaper that looked like the rooms may have been better. The facilities here are great and the pools are great with a view for sunset and the beach. 8/10
