Oranje City Hotel

Beautiful old building with surroundings new and old. Fantastic location to be able to walk around the small town. Love the esthetics, and quirks, of old buildings.

As for most of Europe, the beds. I am used to the opposing comfort level afforded by a firm, supporting mattress. The soft mattresses wreak havoc on my back till I can return to my firm bed at home.

We had a perfect stay at Orange Hotel

We loved everything about this hotel, the room was amazing, The breakfast was incredible, the location was great ! We were welcome by Murat who was a perfect host. He served us a beautiful and tasty breakfast in the morning, and he gave as good info and was really nice and professional. Thanks a lot Murat ! We are happy to have discovered Orange City hotel !

A great place to stay in the center of historic Diest

The hotel is an incredible historic building in a very convenient part of Diest. We were able to park nearby. Self check in was easy. The breakfast was so generous and delicious! Our room was spacious. The dining room area is gorgeous

location is very convenient, the building is very nice and recently renovated in a style that fits the building. Lovely fresh breakfast served at the table.

parking is a bit difficult, however the hotel arranged it for us after our enquires about parking.

Very nice location and ambience. Also a very nice breakfast and friendly staff.

Very bad soundproofing. Woke up many times in the middle of the night from people talking in other rooms. Even had to confront other guests.

Wish I could stay longer and enjoy breakfast there.

The location was reachable from the station by walk. The surrounding was quiet, so we had a very nice sleep. The check-in check-out process was smooth and the staff clearly listened to our requests. It was overall a lovely stay we had.

Disappointing

Good location and interesting building. I assume the better rooms are quite fine. Great walking possibility in the wetlands area behind the Halve Man tourist area. Possibility to reach Diest and its beguinage by train, and to continue from Diest by train e.g. for the nice Bilzen - Alden Biesen walk.

Room picture not realistic, at least in the 'cheapest' category. Lots of noise during the night in a house opposite the hotel. Reception not occupied on a June weekend Saturday afternoon, no 'welkom', make sure your phone works when you arrive. Few tourist orientation signs in Diest, and all in Dutch.
