Relaxing Christmas in St. Gallen

The location is unbeatable, the rooms are comfortable and very nicely decorated. The selection of pillows is also great, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel staff are very friendly.

The hotel description mentioned a swimming pool, but it did not specify anywhere that only children aged 12 or 14 and above (it was not clear which) could use it. My 11-year-old son was disappointed. I recommend that you add to the hotel description that the swimming pool can only be used by adults aged x and above.

Perfect hotel to visit St. Gallen ... Trés chic ... with great wellness facilities

The Einstein Hotel is very chic. Our room was a 'standard' room, really nice, excellent bedding and comfortable. There was a very serviceable minibar, which was a nice surprise. I would have also liked to visit their bar which looked fun, but we were too busy. The breakfast was really good. The hotel is super close to the Abbey and Library. An excellent plus was access to a very high standard wellness area with pool, saunas and weight rooms.

Pompous hotel

Overpriced and Pretentious Bad experience with a bully of a manager, who came into my room and tried to intimidate me. Unattractive and cheap looking art work in rooms and throughout the hotel. Bed was just 2 single beds pushed together..for such an expensive hotel expected much more. The whole stay just gave us a bad taste in our mouth. What was supposed to be a treat ended up being a disappointing and expensive experience. Would not return.

The old town is amazing, St Gallen is a very nice place to visit.

I stayed at the Einstein St Gallen when I was watching Wales v France in Euro 2025. It was great to get the hotel room because the match did not finish until just before 2300. It was very luxurious, the room was very nice. Breakfast was in the conference building a opposite, maybe 25m walk.

Amazing location, steps away from the old town with an excellent wellness/spa attached. Can’t speak highly enough about the cocktail bar.

Receptionist, who clearly was showing us that people who booked through Booking are not a priority, for example by refusing to give us 1h late check out on Sunday… in the center of a town… at half-empty hotel….

Not recommend.

Room was average, old, stuffy, very noisy, light from outside came in without any means to darken the room further. Not even conditioner provided and only Nescafé in the room. Going to the spa was a journey. Sauna only opens at 5pm. Overall very disappointing experience and value for money, specifically for Switzerland, not given.

Excellent and enjoyable.

I stayed at the hotel with two dogs. There was a large dog carpet and bowls waiting for me in the room. The room was spacious and we felt comfortable sleeping there. The hotel has a lovely fitness centre which I enjoyed working out in the morning. The breakfast was great and the service at the reception, restaurant and fitness centre was excellent. The room was clean, had a bathrobe, slippers, all hygiene products, the shower was spacious and comfortable. There was a kettle and everything to make tea in the room.

Very disappointing.

Stylish.

In my opinion, the property is not as represented. I signed up for this property because I thought it had a spa, gym and pool. The hotel has access to a pool, and to a gym, which is, from what I can tell, open to other members of the public. I walked the entire area of the “spa“ and I did not feel any spa vibe. I also signed up because the restaurant was so highly acclaimed. Of course, it was not open. It is closed for holiday. This is another fact that I find was, to put a politely, misrepresented. Basically, I overpay dramatically for my stay. I would greatly appreciate having my money back. I did not find that most of the staff at the front desk was knowledgeable. Andrea was the exception. She was very good and very polite. If you watch the video, you think there’s someone to greet you when you arrive. That was not the case. It was not a bellman insight. And this property is easily twice what its competitors charge and I do not see why. I dropped one of my AirPods, and had to look for it under the bed. It was not tidy. We had turn down service one night out of four. Three of us. May I have my money back?

The door to the room is not soundproofed and I could hear the staff and other people walking in the corridor, especially as my room (116) was near the lift. The furniture and fittings were fine but I would have thought that the doors would be fire rated

Atrociously wrong music almost everywhere in the hotel. Seems like the radio is stuck on 80s pop everywhere you go. The super stylish and classic bar begs for some good jazz, but no, you get 80s pop. The reception begs for soothing music, but no, you get 80s pop. The bistro begs for something inspiring, but no... It's a common theme in Swiss hotels, I find, but at the Einstein it hurts the ears and spoils the experience because of the painful contrast with the high quality of everything else. Furthermore, small detail: toilette paper in the wrong of very low quality, in dissonance with the high quality of everything else.

we spendere 2 nights and brought our little puppy which was received very positive.The reception even offered a dog bed😀 Location is very quiet and absolutely central to the old town and the monestry. Room service is recommendable
