Breakfast need to be improved & staff services at restaurant need more training,, dinner at restaurant also need to has more options to be able to receive guests from outside

Came here for Reha My body was recovering from an airlift to Zurich My body was recovering from air loft to Zurich Universititat Spital A month long coma and several month in intensive care All due to a bacterial heart infection- source completely unknown This had spread to mein Hertz my brain my skin my kidneys and everywhere in my poor little body The healthcare though expensive - I come from England where the NHS is free! I have no doubt that though we had only moved to the country in summer 2024 - and this was the beginning of Oct 2024- if I had been in the UK I would now be dead. The Oberwaid is a glorious place The staff - from cardiac consultants to nurses physiotherapists and the hotel reception spa and bar/restaurant were second to none. Knowledgeable and caring Not only did they help MY recovery, but that of my very shocked and fragile family (husband and sons With their help I am alive. I had to relearn to speak /eat /walk /shower - you name it I was unable to use the spa facility due to medication and open wounds The doctors had already spotted that my mechanical Klappe was failing and both my aortic valve and mitral valve were also massively compromised. They warned me that I would need further operations in the future In January 2025 my heart was failing and once again I was blue lighting )by road this time) to Universitätsspital Zürich However, I returned this month. A full ten months after first arriving. I revisited the place and my carers without telling them beforehand. I once again went to Reha.

All was just perfect

We liked almost everything about this hotel. For example the facilities such as spa, free parking on site, great Service and clean rooms.

Small details like internal spaces from corridors to rooms noticeably for us smelled unpleasant like a hospital or care home, our guess was it was perhaps due to the chemicals used for cleaning. Airing and using source of pleasant aromas definitely helps to improve the first impression and feel for gusts. Also the shower door glass needs to have a soft stopper not to bang against the stone as it was the case in our room to avoid accidental damage and for safety.
