We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vila Lumbung and would happily stay here again.
The staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The grounds and gardens are gorgeous and beautifully maintained, the pool area is fantastic, and everything around the hotel was very clean. We also thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails!
We travelled as a family and really loved the atmosphere. It felt very family-friendly without being overcrowded or overly busy, so we could actually relax and enjoy the pool and surroundings.
The location was also great, with plenty of restaurants, shops and other places within walking distance, and anything a little further away was only a short and inexpensive taxi ride.
Oh, and the beds were huge and very very comfortable!
The accommodation itself is a little dated, but we expected that given this isn't a five-star resort and it certainly didn't detract from our stay. The only real negative was that the kitchen area in our accommodation had a mild old/musty smell. We weren't planning to use the kitchen anyway, so we simply kept the door closed and it wasn't an issue for us.
