It’s clean and comfortable
The bed was slightly too firm for me but that’s just because I’m used to a softer mattress.
Also we went for breakfast at 9.45am, 15 minutes before cut off time for arrival and the staff were ok about it but I did feel pressured into hurrying up as the man (I assume the dining room manger) kept walking past and hovering around and asking me if I wanted more coffee as he was going to shut the machine down and as soon as I put my fork down he was there asking if I’d finished: I struggle with eating and felt pressured to eat faster.

Friendly, helpful staff
Beds were severely uncomfortable. All we could feel were the springs in the bed. Didn’t get any sleep due to being so uncomfortable.

Room was spacious and had everything needed. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good with a good amount of choice. Dining room is bright and inviting. Children enjoyed the pool. Reception area/bar are comfortable.
Shower pressure was variable and seemed to drop in pressure a few times during shower.

It was clean.
We were charged £16 for parking... (not aware at booking stage)... The, " we don't own the car park" line is becoming ridiculous. We landed in to a cold room which didn't warm up after turning up the heating. We were warm after an hour after arrival from them bringing in a plug in heater.... Just to round things off the toilet was blocked all morning so we had to use the one in the pool area. No fridge.

The staff were really friendly and they made a balloon arch for my girlfriends birthday which was really sweet
The TV in the room didn't have any smart TV functions, or even the option to use Chromecast. In this day and age having a smart TV in a room is something that even most cheap hotel chains do as standard, but in this relatively fancier hotel, and in a queen room, it was just a basic TV.
The steam room was out of service for the whole time we were there, which was a bit of a shame because we booked this hotel for our trip to Bristol specifically because we like to use the spa facilities.

No hot water in my room in the morning so no shower before meeting that day, not ideal at all, I was offerd use of the showers in the gym but I didn’t have time for that

The rooms are a bit spread out. Long corridors to walk through. Rest all was OK.
nothing in particular

Good value for money, clean, friendly staff. Was a lovely hotel and great facilities. Would definitely stay here again.
It’s not a dislike because we stayed in the new part of the hotel but distance from the room down to the reception was a very long walk. I would just request to stay closer to reception next time.

It was quiet, the staff were friendly, polite and efficient. The room was comfortable. The fitness room was excellently set out with a good variety of decent fitness machines suiting all capabilities, including serious gymnasium users. The pool staff were very helpful and informative.
The room would have been improved by a larger bed: this would better suit the room size and would have been more comfortable for two. The large gap under the room door to the corridor let in huge amounts of light after dark and kept us awake.

The breakfast was pretty good. I wouldn't pay £17 per person however.
Our first room had no hot water, the reception staff knew that zone had previously been reported but kept putting people in them, then in the new room we were given the sink in the bathroom had a large Crack right across the middle.

Clean & polite staff
I was told parking was included but after our stay i was charged £16 for the 2 days we stayed. This was not explained and i raised this with them but yet to receive a response its been nearly 4 weeks.

The staff seemed to be holding up and polite.
Very obliging with breakfast checking food for me as a coeliac however didn’t really get the overall need still presenting me with vegetarian sausages that were not gluten free.,I was grateful though they informed me of the gluten to keep me safe however we s bit confused why they cooked them and presented them to me?
Nice hot water and enjoyed my bath this morning. Coffee in the room very nice . Nice to have a gluten free cookie- thank you.
No main heating .
No restaurant open - had booked this hotel to enjoy an evening dining . The seating to eat the food at the bar wasn’t easy or comfortable . This was a treat which felt nothing but a local pub not a hotel. Dubious clientele also.
Dogs in the bar area .
Grubby in parts and smelt of damp and mould at the enterance. Food very expensive for ping ping food and not the choice of gluten free food that they advertised as the restaurant not open. We were staying a Saturday night- would have expected it open? We had pre arrival information saying it was open.
Unexpected cost of parking also. We would not have chosen this hotel knowing 2x £8 as we drove separately to meet up.
So overall very disappointed and will not consider a Hilton again in the future. This was a get together of friends not seeing each other for years. The shine was taken off in grubby and outdated environment food and drink very expensive food / little Choice of food for typical person or a coeliac . So overall not what it said on the tin!

We had a room upgrade and the room was lovely. It was incredibly spacious and the bed was super comfy. I loved the ultra modern bathroom. There was an excellent choice for breakfast. Form me the highlights were the hotel pool and sauna and the great customer service.
The only aspect that I did not like was dinner. The food was overpriced and bland.

The location was perfect and the room was reasonably sized for a family of 4
The room was not clean on arrival, and there were clothes left behind by the previous occupants. This was reported immediately upon check-in, and the receptionist responded promptly. However, the chair in the room was quite dusty and requires a thorough clean. The breakfast buffet was average. The hash browns were quite dry and cold, and I noticed that several guests had left them uneaten on their plates. Additionally, some items that ran out were not promptly refilled.

On arrival there was ample parking, the reception staff were friendly, loved the complimentary warm cookie (tasted amazing).
The bed was insanely comfortable! Room was clean, plenty of mirrors for getting ready and the breakfast options were second to none 10/10!
We returned later in the evening where the carpark was filled with only one small space available which was slightly awkward, and could of done with more teabags in the room (but that’s just personal preference)

Lovely food, enjoyed the dressing gowns and slippers. Chocolates and card nice touch. Swimming pool was lovely in the afternoon. I liked the text to check how we were getting on. I reported that the standing light in the room wasn't working so someone came to change it.
My daughter slept on the sofa bed in our 'family room' but she could feel the metal bars through the mattress. It was very uncomfortable. The room was a little dark. There were only 2 tea bags which wasn't enough for us to have a cuppa on arrival and on waking.
There were only enough towels for 2 of us not 3. Swimming pool on Sunday am was chaos with a one in one out wait to get in, no pool side supervisor and kids running around everywhere in and out the steam room and jacuzzi. Half the pool taken up with 2 swimming lessons and the other half crammed with shouting kids.

We stayed here for a weekend in Bristol. Have stayed in Dounle Tree Hilton's before and they never disappoint. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. As it was our anniversary, our room was upgraded to a King and we stayed in the newer part of the building. Also received two free complimentary drinks at the bar, courtesy of Lee on the Reception. Room was spacious, modern and clean with all the usual complimentary.bits like tea, coffee huge plasma tele, fridge, bathrobes and slippers. Food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was freshly cooked, hot and lots of choice. Bar area / lounge area was nice, clean and comfortable. Although the hotel was busy, there was plenty of parking on site and staff were really friendly and helpful Perfect location for exploring Bristol, we got ubers into the city which was so much easier as didn't have to find car parks or waste time sitting in traffic as they used the bus lanes plus also meant we could have a drink. Would definitely recommend this hotel and thank you for making our stay a great one.
Nothing.

Dinner menu was varied and what we had was lovely. Room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Lovely clean robes. Loved the warm cookie in arrival!
The hot drinks machines were either not working or switched off by 9pm so I couldn’t take a hot drink to bed.

Nice room, comfy bed, lovely bathroom.
Food was incredibly poor value for money. Chipotle ribs tasteless and lacking in flavour, sides that came with were poor. Steak sandwich ordered by my partner was pretty much all gristle and chewier than a rubber ball. Fries had no rosemary salt when advertised at rosemary salt.
When voicing to staff, was told "I'll tell the manager" but nothing offered as an apology, and no discount/refund offered.

The reception area was very airy, so even though it was busy at times, we felt comfortable sitting having a chat, a drink and food.
You definitely need more staff on when it comes to checking out, as only two on the desk who are also taking phone calls made a queue form very quickly. At checkout, perhaps only have the staff doing this - and someone else dealing with the phone calls?

The location was great for the Bristol Zoo Project we were going to on the Monday.
Well, to be honest I'm not too sure where to begin.
The beds were not comfy. A very limited selection of tv channels, so my daughter and her friend didn't have much to watch in the morning before breakfast. The curtain poles weren't attached to the curtains so we're absolutely useless. The bathroom was dirty, marks on the towels, dust, rust, mirrors not cleaned properly. It doesn't take much to keeps things clean. Shower gel for hand soap on the sink?! Why. Shower head was leaking through the hose.
No dressing gowns, however we did phone down and request them 3 times.
Went down to use the swimming pool. The ladies changing rooms were disgusting, clumps of hair on the floor, 90% of the lockers didn't work - lock or close. Towels left all over the floors and benches. The pool was cloudy!! I found a clump of hair in the pool! I didn't take photos in the changing room as I didn't think it was appropriate when others were in there. I did report this to reception. This is supposed to be part of the Hilton group?!
At dinner we waited an uncomfortable amount of time for food, we stayed here with a friend of mine and her son, my daughter and her son were hungry yet for a simple 2 slices of garlic bread each we had to wait over ½ hr.
Breakfast- no tables were cleared, 2 members of staff tht we could see were working and one poor lass only had use of 1 arm and she was doing the most.
Completely unacceptable. I'll be staying in the Premier Inn or travel lodge next time for a flying visit.

Adequate basic accommodation
Quite expensive for a tired looking hotel that needs a renovation. Booking.com had failed to inform the hotel that our deal includes breakfast, or that we were bringing a dog. The charge for the parking and the dog came to nearly £45 which with hindsight I would have been better off booking a nicer hotel for the extra money.

We had one of the newer rooms, very spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. The room was very clean, with lovely staff servicing it. Breakfast was excellent.
There was no hot water on our first morning, an inconvenience, but this was soon rectified

The room was a good size, clean and with a large and comfortable bed.
The restaurant was poorly managed, understaffed and completely disorganised. In particular breakfast service was chaotic - vacated tables not laid up with cutlery / mugs / napkins (and none easily available at buffet), long slow queue since only one machine operating, hot water dispenser difficult to operate.
Charged wrong rate for room at check out.

Location was fine
Staff were unhelpful
I had sent a message saying we’d be checking in late if that’s ok as travelling from London, they replied saying no problem.
When we arrived we checked in no problems however got to our room it was freezing as the window was left open and bathroom was filthy, reported it to reception at 23.45 saying we wanted to freshen up but the bath is disgusting he said I can open the shower for you in the swimming area! As there are no other rooms available.
We wanted to rest!
Next day spoke to reception and they said we can refund the parking as it was done on booking.com we can’t do anything for you!
