The hotel and staff far exceeded expectations given the relatively low price, having an upgrade was also a great surpris

Spa was great as was the restaurant. Having a pub on site was a great idea even though our schedule didn’t allow us to visit it.

An ok stay, but this was much better last year which is a real shame

This was our second time staying at the property as we really loved it last year and like last year we loved the location and the pool/spa area. The bar area is also lovely.

The changing room floors in the spa were filthy, there was fluff, hair and dirt in many places and the drains were very smelly. Our room was freezing as the radiator was broken. A small heater was provided but it didn’t heat the room up well. When we checked out we were told this was due to a last min issue with the heating. I understand these things can’t be helped but in situations like this the room should at least be discounted. We were just told it in a very “oh well” type way. The fridge in the room was also filthy.

Good location, food and staff were nice just a shame in the situation regarding the spa treatment cancellations

Additional costs to use spa and cancelling of treatment 1 hour before it was due with not alternative apart from refund (employee sickness) staff were very polite and apologetic but still very disappointing

Comfortable stay and very good location

The staff are really lovely and accomodating. Really easy access to parking.

The room - you have to tell the staff via a QR code that you would like your room cleaned - I couldn't see an QR code. Room tidying should be standard. Reception - we arrived at 6pm - there was only one lady on reception and the queue was long. Breakfast - There was again only one lady manning the breakfast reception, so crossing off and showing us to the table - so a really slow process - would be better if you had an extra person to guide people. Bar - wine at the bar was off Spa access is chargable - this should be a standard

Terrible I would not stay here again

Not much really

The room was very out dated, the milk machine on our floor was empty so we had to go and search other floors for the fresh milk machine, staff were very unhelpful, I woke up in against the next day with lower back pain, paid extra to use the pool which was full no place to leave out towels as all the beds were full, used the jacuzzi and a couple days later I was diagnosed with a UTI?

Not a very pleasant experience.

The location, the breakfast staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was good apart from the vegetarian sausages which were just mushy vegetables.

The staff on reception were not very helpful, it took 3 attempts to get the correct charge for the parking and breakfast, also I could not get a VAT until we booked out. The toilet broke (When it was full of poo!), the flush handle came out from the fitting, I tried to call reception but all I could do was leave a message so I had to get dressed and go down to reception. The lady on reception said she was sorry and originally told by that there was not another room available for us to move. When I told her that we could not spend the night in a room without a working toilet and insisted that something was done, she said she would see if she could find someone to fix it. She called me 20 minutes later and had found another room for us to move to. I went down to Reception a second time to get the key for the new room because she was on her own until the manager came in. My husband and I had both bathed and were in bed before the toilet broke, we had to get dressed, pack all our things and move rooms. She did say that she was sorry, but no offer was made of any compensation for the huge inconvenience and I was not happy about having to insist that we be moved.

The room was nicely decorated, and the restaurant clean and airy.

Well, we wanted to use the spa but there were no bath robes available, and so not happy about it. Especially because I had already paid for it.

Amazing value for money

Exceptional value for money. Place better than pix. Great steam, sauna n pool. Lovely staff. Really nice touches in the room included travel coffee cups to make a brew fror your journey home!

Just wish there were more beds in the pool area.

Enjoyable stay in Bristol

Location was easy to find and parking was easy. The room was exceptional, spacious and comfortable. The bars and restaurants were inviting and quite atmospheric. The spa area was well appointed.

Breakfast was slightly chaotic as there was insufficient room to be seated without queuing. The food stations were insufficient and depleated at first. The spa area was overcrowded.

Have stayed few times in Aztec, but this time the coffee machine was missing, Hair dryer was missing, SPA access which part of the stay was not this time, as asked to pay etc. Usually we get spacious room, this time we were allocated to a smaller room...

Staff very friendly and helpful, bar area very cosy and beautiful restaurant area.

Ok but wouldn’t return to stay the night

The evening meal was excellent staff very attentive Our waiter Alex was exceptional. Also the Spa staff were very helpful and Spa was clean treatment was very good.

Room was cold and drafty. Bathroom was a bit tatty And not that clean. Found the staff on reception pretty uninterested. Eggs at breakfast were watery and cold no hash browns they d run out. Awful outside noise all night which kept my husband awake. Tried to get in touch with Manager didn’t reply.

The food in the curious kitchen was absolutely superb we had the steak and the mixed seafood absolutely divine. Chocolate ganache with ice cream was delicious. Staff were attentive and friendly. The spa was lovely with good facilities I enjoyed the whirl pool, sauna, steam room. My partner had a fantastic massage too.

Kids screaming and running up and down corridors until 11pm at night, no robe or slippers even when asked we then received two robes with one missing a belt and no slippers. The room was filthy in dust, used tissues behind the bed, condom and ear plugs left under the bed - gross! No answer on reception has to phone about three times over the course of an hour. The staff apologised but didn’t offer any means of rectifying it just that they’d tell housekeeping.

One of the largest and comfortable rooms we have stayed in for a while.

The room was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly. The added bonus was ice, water and fresh milk available from dispensing machines in the corredor. We travel to this location 2/3 times a year and will be booking there again.

Lovely hotel and amenities, room was lovely and big and equipped

The staff in the hotel were rude. First of all the hotel receptionist wasn’t welcome when I checked in - didn’t give me any information regarding booking just my room number and key card and asked if I wanted to pay for parking. I asked about an electric charge station and they just said round the corner (not if you need any help finding it let me know). I used the gym. I went to the hotel gym reception to be asked “let me see your key - of you don’t get gym access with your room you have to go to reception and pay” the guy on reception was reluctant to let me pay for this separately and not charge it to my room The breakfast was poor, I am allergic to dairy so asked for a soya latte which was received with a remark of “I don’t know if we can do that” instead of a “let me find out for you”. The hotel itself is lovely and staying for work purposes was not a problem. I would like to return with my husband but wouldn’t be happy about paying the prices to receive the poor service from the staff. I would expect more from Aztec hotel and Spa

Lovely place, doing well for itself, a bit crowded for a November weekend.

Facilities are great. Breakfast was good. Staff good, some clearly quite young. Love the White Company products, coffee and tea in room, fresh milk. Lots of details that help make you comfortable.

Long walk to our room up and down stairs, annoying in robes and slippers to find the spa full. Staff slightly inconsistent in being helpful.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect from the clean and comfortable room to the pleasure spa and exceptional service. The staff were always kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I genuinely enjoyed every moment and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience

Excellent facilities, very friendly staff in every section of the hotel and spa. Amazing spa treatments, Adriana and Rim were both wonderfully welcoming, and I spent the day at the spa more relaxed than I have been for a long, long time. Will definitely be recommending to others and planning a return

Very disappointed with the level of service. Wasn’t value for money

Although our overall experience was not up to standard the manager and a staff apologised and tried to rectify the situation. The bed was comfortable. Having fresh dispensable milk and filtered water station was lovely. Some of the staff was quite pleasant. Was given a free upgraded room as it wasn't too busy.

We waited for 55mins for the food to come and by the time it came it was just about warm. The room wasn’t cleaned despite requesting it to be cleaned. We found items behind the chair . Must have been left by previous guests. Despite given an upgraded room it was outdated and could do with an uplift. The pillows were flat and therefore could do with some upgrades.
