We booked the hotel due to its proximity to Warner Bros studios (20 mins away). We weren’t expecting much as have had mixed experiences with Holiday Inn previously, but we weren’t expecting much very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean and well-presented. The pool is great, albeit small - great for entertainment children for an hour. The rooms are small, but fine for an overnight stay, although the shower in our room was more like a trickle. Food in the restaurant was nice, and breakfast was ideal, with plenty of choice and variety. We sat in the conservatory area for breakfast, which was very pleasant. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Not much. We had an excellent stay. Although the hotel seemed slightly short-staffed at breakfast, so there were no spoons or pastries, tables were not cleared promptly and some dirty plates, bowls and cutlery were building up

Easy to get to / convenient
Every time someone took a shower, the water (tank?) was so loud it woke us up. People smoking outside our window
