Nice rooms and good location but check the facilities carefully before booking

The hotel was clean and the staff were mostly helpful when we asked them anything. The breakfast had a large variety and it tasted good as well. The room we booked was great and for such a large hotel it was mostly quiet. The location of the hotel is great and we had included free parking for our stay although we were lucky to find a space to park.

A day before arriving we received a message from the hotel saying that pool visits cost 14 BGN per visit. When we arrived at the hotel we asked about this at the front desk and we were told that it's for the whole stay but to ask at the spa reception. The next day we asked at the spa reception and we were told that it's actually 14 BGN per person per visit (meaning until you exit the pool/spa area). This means if you would like to visit the pool twice a day on separate occasions it will cost (for a couple) almost 60 BGN per day. We were not made aware of this policy prior to booking and it is not indicated anywhere so I feel it's disingenuous to the hotel's customers. Additionally, it feels like the staff aren't aware of what the policy even is. It was also strange that out of 4 restaurants only 1 was working on a Sunday night. (not including Happy)

The lady at the guest relations desk was surprisingly rude and unhelpful. She repeatedly denied my concern without even trying to understand it. Only after I mentioned that I would leave a very bad review on Booking.com she did finally agree to help. Someone with such an attitude should not be working in guest relations — her behavior gives a very poor impression of the hotel and completely undermines the idea of good customer service.

A large and comfortable hotel with a professional, courteous staff and a good breakfast.

We stayed one night in a standard quadruple room. The room was clean and comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a sweet treat in honor of a holiday celebrated in our home country that day. The staff were exceptionally kind — in the evening, we asked to have the baby crib removed, thinking our little one would sleep with us in the double bed. Instead, the staff took the initiative to open the sofa bed and turn it into an additional double bed, so everyone had enough space to sleep comfortably. We truly appreciate this thoughtful gesture! Breakfast was varied and tasty, though quite crowded, as the hotel is large and hosts many guests, including tour groups.

At the entrance, there was a stand with black roses—I touched them and took a video. then I went outside to smoke a cigarette, and a security guard named Mario came up behind me and asked, "What did you steal?"—I was completely shocked. I've never seen such an amateurish, rude, and unprofessional staff member before. When hiring staff for your hotel, you should have an interview to test how they interact with guests; this security guard was disrespectful and unprofessional…

Great stay and good value.

We were upgraded to a luxury room that was large and very comfortable. Location and free car parking were excellent. Staff were courteous and we loved our stay at the hotel. Breakfast was very good indeed.

The only thing we didn’t like was the shower as we both struggled to step into the bathtub which has a very high bath side. I accept this is an age thing for us but a walk in shower is more user friendly.

The music is terrible—too loud and omnipresent even in terrace.

The music is terrible—too loud and omnipresent. For example, if you sit on the terrace at Café VIENNA, there’s music playing even outside! It’s very loud and of poor quality. Please understand that in a four‑star hotel, guests—especially foreigners like us—expect silence. Yet there is noise everywhere: on the upper floors, in the restaurant, even in the lobby there is music. It makes conversation impossible. Moreover, in Café Vienna there’s a very noisy fountain that stresses everyone with its constant sound. In conclusion: the staff are pleasant, the breakfast is mediocre, and there is noise absolutely everywhere—particularly in areas where we are supposed to relax.

Luxurious hotel located in the heart of Plovdiv

My heart stayed in this place. The hotel is luxurious, clean and extremely modern decorated. Thank you for our upgraded room as well as free access at Spa center of the hotel. We really loved the breakfast served with quality and delicious products. Very nice and helpful personnel. Thank you for the pleasant stay and we definitely come back again in Grand Hotel Plovdiv.

Excellent hotel, room and service. I used the swimming pool for free and got an free voucher for the casino. The staff were nice and helpfull and everything went as expected. I came by car and the parking was also included. Would gladly come again.

Nice Stay !

Hotel is big and old but but renovated rooms are very comfortable . I like this hotel in general .

Casino is also big but service strange . We were playing and ordered just some tosts .It came 1 hour later and they asked to we eat them at another table :) Our car was in their park lot and it was free We just went out 12.30 and when returned to ask reception .She said that " after 12.00 you must to pay 3 BGN " . I just looked to them and said ok . All weekend , we spent time in their casino + stayed in a 3 room and that was their answer . Its a very small point and nothing for me but I can just say I didnt like it.
