The best place we have ever stayed on Bulgaria's see shore. A small boutique hotel just on the beachfront, with an exceptional view over the sea, you can see the Moon reflecting in the sea from your bed. Just ignore the concrete monsters built all around and the urbanistic hassle of Chaika suburb of Varna, and you seems to be in a tropical paradise.

Right on the beach, very good and reasonably priced food (especially fish dishes), free sun beds. We had a room with a big terase towards the sea, which was very nice to spend time in the evenings. The hosts are veeery nice, we felt like home.
There's a long and dirty walk to the city center. We did not mind, as we wanted to spend time here, not walk to the promenade area each evening, but something to keep in mind if interested in evening walks.

The price.

I knew not to expect much because I read the reviews before. So I thought it will not be high end but that was ok, the hotel didn’t present itself as being luxurious.
Paid parking is far away. This hotel is surrounded by a big hotel and they are left with “an entry” which has 100 stairs and no lights.
Stairs continue within the property but that was ok for me, less ok for small children or the elderly.
Restaurant smelled of burned oil at lunch time, could’t eat.
Spaghetti made with ketchup.
Few kinds of food, not great.
Payment by card only for accomodation, food and drinks cash only.
Personal does not speak English.
Room was not very clear, there was a huge spider in the shower.
I could have stayed, still, because you get what you pay for.
The part that I couldn’t stand was the smell of the seaweed from the beach. When we arrived, half of their beach was covered in seaweed. In the evening it was getting worse. By next morning, the color of the water was different, it was 100% seaweed. And the smell, I couldn’t drink my coffee in front of my room. I can only imagine what the smell was like on the beach which was only a couple of meters away.
While I can imagine they can’t fix the seaweed issue within the sea, they could have taken away the seaweed from the beach in a matter of minutes. So it is their fault they neglect their beach.
At least they were nice enough to not charge us for the second night, we left at 9am.
