    Very nice hotel in old town. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Sauna is nice even it was bit expensive but good value for money

    We requested a twin room but were given a double bedroom. It caused issues as we were not a couple. It seemed that Agoda did not pass the request to the hotel and the hotel had run out of twin rooms by the time we arrived. The hotel explained that if this was communicated to them ahead of time they could have arranged.

    Breakfast was poor, I'm lactose intolerant and there were no substitutes for this. Most of the food was lukewarm and lacked any flavour. It would be nice to have various flavoured yoghurt pots rather than a jar of it. The sofas and chairs were not cleaned in the dining room as we found the same crumbs where we sat on day 2, also on day 3 when we sat down. Other than the breakfast staff and 2 cleaners we had (Elta is lovely) not one member of staff smiled or offered that warm friendly personable service you expect in a 4 star hotel. We were not told about the additional facilities such as the spa, ironing service, anything about the local area or any of the workings/what to expect from the room upon arrival. Upon checking out, we were no asked about our stay. The worst of it though was we arrived to be told 1/2 of our rooms was ready, the other we would have to wait until 1500 for. We went to the available room to find the toilet hadn't been cleaned. I complained and was upgraded to a better room. The room however had paint coming off the sink, dirty flooring and needed an uplift.. A bit like the landing areas too. Tea/Coffee facilities provided in the room but no milk or fruit teas/decaf given. It was also noted that they could find me 2 other rooms after my complaint (I turned down one next to reception initially) yet they didn't have one ready for my father who arrived with me and he had to wait until 1500 to get his so we felt mis informed. When he did get his he got no complimentary water as I did mine. We both had issues in our rooms where the air-con wouldn't work either. On our last full day we went to the restaurant to order coffee and get some milk for the room and were greater rudely by Natali who was more interested in lighting a candle than serving us. She barged past me to make the coffee and had I not moved I'd have been knocked over by her. She was abrupt, scowling and we felt like we had inconvenienced her as paying customers. The benefits of this hotel are its location (perfect by the walls, lovely and quiet), comfy beds and lots of pillows. The WiFi was also excellent!
