Villa Il Frantoio and Lilmar

It was beautiful, peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was served daily by the pool and it was wonderful.

We had a bathroom light that did not work and the blow dryer was a wall unit that you had to push and hold down to use. Both minor, but thought I should mention.

Vincenzo the host was amazing, he messaged me before hand letting me know where to meet and then whilst we were there he helped us book various trips and restaurants. He helped us so much and made sure we had the best time ever.

Just be aware of how many steps are involved in this part of the coast.

We stayed here for our mini moon for a week right after our wedding and it was the perfect romantic retreat! ❣️ Rooms were large, with spectacular views and large terraces that were very private. We felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time! Great rainwater shower, well stocked mini bar in the room, fresh towels & room cleaned every day. We even got to watch fireworks from our Balcony on Saturday night which was very romantic & a lightning storm from bed earlier in the week, which was spectacular! The pool is fantastic, with incredible views of Positano & over towards Capri. Lovely little buffet breakfast every morning with tasty scrambled eggs or omelettes. Nice little touches like offering towels for the pool & beach, some suncream out at the pool. A really nice place to actually spend the day in greenery looking out to sea. Lovely small staff of mostly family. Very helpful and brought us prosecco to the pool, happy to leave you to do your own thing.! A cute romantic boutique retreat. Definitely good value for money compared to other places we looked up on the Amalfi coast, especially as a nice beach is in walking distance. Priano is a good location to explore up to Sorrento and all the way to Amalfi too (much easier than getting in/out of Positano and far more authentic). There are a lot of restaurants dotted around, especially on the way to the beach. Amazing massages available nearby in Hotel Margherita and an incredible Michelin restaurant a few minutes away called Casa Angelina for a romantic treat. Great Mini Moon destination!

Getting around the Amalfi coast is relatively easy via the SITA bus but nothing on the Amalfi Coast is explained very well with signage etc.as you might expect in other transport hubs. So, it can take a bit of figuring out and googling initially. It was generally easier to get to Amalfi Town & Sorrento further away than it was to get in/out of Positano because the bus there was usually full, which is fine because one day/afternoon in Positano is plenty of time. Taxi's to Positano were expensive (80 with luggage or 40/50 one way without luggage). Just make sure to buy your bus ticket before the tourist information office closes in the evenings and weekends. However, it was easy to get a tour to Pompei (booked online via get your guide). We had zero issues getting home from Sorrento or Amalfi because it's the start of the bus line. Only Positano seemed to need taxi's! Rosario & Simone from the transfer place beside the tourist office were great & safe drivers. This is definitely not the place for you if you have any mobility issues whatsoever. There is no way to avoid steps getting into the hotel, even with the short cut. There are lots of steps into most restaurants in the town and the beach is down lots of steps/winding road. Amalfi town would be easier if you have any issues with steps. This is a gorgeous boutique hotel. So, generally there aren't many staff around, if you need assistance with taxis or tours, especially at night. But they gave great restaurant recommendations..We liked this for privacy on honeymoon but it might not be for everyone. The hot tub was out of service which was a little disappointing. But overall, I have zero complaints. We loved the place and it will always have a special place in our hearts now.❤️

The incredible views, the pool areas and a great morning espresso, eggs cooked to perfection, even the stairs from the main road grew on us. And the sweetest like dog who loved pats
