Wonderful two day getaway full of relaxation and great service

We had a wonderful and spacious room with a beautiful sea view of the marina and nearby islands. Breakfast was great, offering a wide variety of choices. We particularly enjoyed the omelette bar where fresh omelets were made to order. Parking was easy and affordable compared to other destinations we visited in Europe.

Great if you’re having a business gathering but would not return for a beach holiday. No atmosphere at all.

It felt like a conference centre. Business meetings of 40 people going on behind us sunbathing. Staff at reception were friendly. However staff at the beach bar gooshters really were quite unfriendly and unhelpful. Given the prices we paid for food in there I’d expect much better service and at least a smile.

Excellent choice at breakfast to start the day. Lots of on site restaurants to suit all tastes. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were generally really friendly. Booked a couple of great excursions which were well organised and enjoyable. Overall, a great experience

No 5 Star hotel that is way over-priced by any means

Gorgeous setting right on the water with a private beach and scenic views. Good dining options on-site and spacious outdoor pool area. Friendly staff doing their best with what they have.

The hotel is not well maintained—rooms are dated, carpets are worn, and furniture shows visible signs of age. The spa area was dirty and lacked any form of supervision or basic hygiene enforcement. Guests were using saunas and jacuzzis without towels or etiquette, and the space felt more chaotic than relaxing. Breakfast is completely overrun in the morning—the restaurant is far too small for the number of guests, resulting in long waits, overcrowding, and a rushed, noisy atmosphere that feels more like a canteen than a luxury breakfast experience. For the price charged, the service, cleanliness, and infrastructure fall short of international 5-star expectations.

Five star prices, three and a half star experience

Rooms were clean. Front desk staff friendly and knowledgeable.

The beach wasn't cleaned and was rocky (sharp gravel) until you are in the water to your waist. If you expect good service at your beach chair, your expectations won't be met, you'll find yourself forced to go to the outdoor bars yourself and forget about food service. Bar prices and food could be expensive, especially the outdoor bar if you drink anything other than beer. Pours of alcohol could be very light for the price and service overall at bar areas very, very slow. Like you have a server one minute and then they disappear. Forever. Lots of kids working for the summer seem to be constantly being trained, and we were there late July. Europe in general is a smoker's paradise and Le Meridien is no exception. The hotel is in pretty good shape (updated decor throughout) but it's old and can therefore be difficult to navigate down to the outdoor areas. Overall, what we got at this hotel is what you can get at a better three star hotel in Cancun for a quarter or third the price. Bottom line: You don't get what you pay for.

Way too many people since the beach and spa are not exclusive to the hotel. Multiple hotels have access to the small beach and anyone can enter no matter from where. It gets super crowded and not enjoyable. Basically the hotel doesn’t have a “private” beach as anyone can enter.

A gorgeous edge of city retreat

Beautiful beachside location. Infinity pool was amazing. Views towards Split. Shopping area and promenade down by the marina, with two good restaurants, one Italian and one Mediterranean. Large indoor pool and spa area. Hotel beautifully finished with outdoor spaces, including a balcony in bar area and a terrace in the breakfast room. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Dora on reception was particularly helpful and informative on check in.

My reservation was for a Bed and Breakfast, but because I am fasting during Ramadan, I told the receptionist I would not attend the breakfast. So they offered an early breakfast delivered to my room by midnight so that I could eat it before I started fasting. This gesture is an inclusive act that I will never forget. THANK YOU

Ok, in winter time nice hotel.

Prices (room rate)are very high in spring and especially in summer months for a big hotel (with many rooms), although nicely renovated hotel, but nothing special. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

Room rates outside low season are very high to my opinion for this type of hotel. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

The king sea view room I paid extra for had a long and wide view of a rooftop and then some water. Not what I expected. I also tried 3 of the 4 restaurants on site and there food was not only overpriced but subpar in quality. Not what I expect of a Meridian resort. I was served overcooked steak that was so chewy it was not edible. Oysters were served not properly separated from the shell. Brunch options were mediocre.

Special trip for wedding anniversary.

We had an amazing view of the boats on the pier which was fab! Room was cleaned every day and fresh towels every day too. Staff were lovely also. I organised a bottle of prosecco to the room for us on the day of arrival and it was in the room with 2 lovely cakes and a happy anniversary message which was so lovely to surprise my husband.

It was a bit out from the city centre of Split, it wasn't too far but the traffic going into Split city centre was always bad. The pub wasn't open at all while we were there which was a shame. We used uber all the time for a taxi except for once ans we were charged alot more coming back out from the city centre than going in so always use uber if travelling there.

Quiet, but not out of the way of the old town.

The rooms were very clean with a large size verandah. The location is just twenty minutes to Split old town. Nice beach and good restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Literally all good, the faculty and people at reception are so good.

All good except for Spalatum Restaurant (which belongs to the hotel I guess). The food is acceptable, but was the same when i stayed for 7 days. Importantly, the staff at the Spalatum Restaurant weren’t friendly !

A little spot of heaven outside of Split

A little hideaway outside of Split... and pretty self contained. Staff were helpful, and the room was comfortable. The view of the sunset over the marina was pretty special. Did feel a little like a spot of paradise with either the pool of the sand and sea as options. Glad I stayed.

Drinks and food felt overpriced - given the lack of other options in the area... and it is a shame that water is not priced appropriately. Also no pool service - as such a small area, would have been nice to have someone come and ask - which is a little detail I enjoy about highly rated hotels.
