Anna Pension

The location is great for the beaches, supermarket and restaurants. They are all walkable, although there are hills! The view from the accommodation is stunning. We didn't have a car and didn't need one. We were able to walk to four different beaches during our stay. Great for families or couples. There is a hotel beach bar and another bar in walking distance, if you do want a drink/some nightlife! We went on the sunset boat trip from the nearest beach. We highly recommend! Anna was very welcoming and helpful. She ordered a taxi for us from the airport and cleaned our rooms twice during the week we were there. The apartment is not flashy, but has everything you need (including hairdryer, towels, shampoo etc). We caught the bus (a 20 min walk away) to take us to Corfu Town before we went to the airport for our flight home.

We were happy with everything. The kitchen equipment is basic and two of my children found their beds a bit uncomfortable. The beach and cars do get busy during the day.

We booked the superior apartment with sea view for our stay in liapades, an apartment with two bedrooms and a kitchen which cost us €100 per night, however when we checked in we were shown to a twin room which costs €40 a night with no explanation given. When we went out to complain, they initially offered us free breakfast but no refund saying that it wasn't their fault the hotel was overbooked. After more complaining, they offered us a €100 refund for the two nights in the cheaper room and free breakfast. This was still disappointing to us as we were hoping to cook while staying in liapades. At this point we were aware that the same thing happened to another set of travellers that arrived at the same time. We went out for dinner and when we came back, Anna offered us a €80 refund for the two nights and a move to the split level family apartment for the second night. We agreed to this and the second room situation was much nicer which is why I didn't give it a lower review. Overall, the situation took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing couple of days at the beach and we were left in a situation that if we hadn't complained repeatedly, they would have taken our €200 for a small room without any compensation. As this happened to another set of travellers at the same time as us, it feels like a way of trying to get extra money.
