Excellent quiet location with absolutely lovely oner’s parents that meet you and show you around. Exceptional communication throughout the stay. The house is amazing and very well equipped with everything you might need in the kitchen or otherwise.

Comfortable stay and amazing views

Villa Emily is an amazing house, very comfortable, cosy, with a lot of space. Large livingroom, fully equiped kitchen, several bedrooms are great for a family. 3 balconies and a barbeque area to spend time outside and enjoy beutiful garden and amazing views! The location is secluded, quiet, but good base for traveling, near Paleokastritsa and nice beaches. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. There was a wine, kumquat jams and delicious orange cake prepared for us when we arrived. We really enjoyed the stay, I sincerely recommend the villa!

Beautiful location with great views

Villa Emily is indeed the perfect and relaxing getaway, as the title of the listing suggests! It stands on its own in a quiet spot and has the most amazing view over the surrounding green hills. When you see the view in its whole 180 degree panorama it is even more impressive than in the pictures in the listing. Despite its remoteness there is a bus stop only 5 min walk away. The bus gets you to Corfu town in one direction and to Paleokastritsa in the other. I understand that in summer there will be more bus lines that go further than Paleokastritsa. Check out the “green buses”, Corfu. There are a lot of tiny roads in the area, where you can go for lovely walks without barely any car bothering you on the way. The holiday accommodation is totally private, but since the owners live in a separate part of the same building they are at hand if you need them. They don’t speak perfect English, but if this ever becomes a problem, you can message their son Theodore (who also deals with the bookings) and he will let his parents know. Or you can use a translation app. They are incredibly helpful, and they spoiled us with their own produce! It’s all very spacious and beautifully furnished. The beds are firm. If you like sleeping in the dark like myself, you will love the shutters. The kitchen is large and is pretty well equipped. The Wifi is a bit slow but reliable. We were there in April. There were a couple of cold and rainy days at the start, so we needed the heating. The central heating is via a woodburner operated by the owners who live in a different part of the building. They are happy to switch it on for any times you like. There are a lot of large radiators in this villa, so it would also be suitable for a winter stay. There are AC’s as well with which you can heat up single rooms. I can’t comment on their cooling capacity as the weather wasn’t too hot. The house is traditionally built to stay cool, with large, roofed verandas all round on both floors.
